Would it be possible for Emby to not skip the 1st Episode Intro in a new Season when selecting the 'Automatically skip intros' option in the clients ? The Introskip Plugin had this option - and for a new Show especially, showing the Intro for Episode 1 (per Season) is actually nice to see (even if it has been correctly detected). Thanks.

Oh that's great thanks. It's funny because the book I am writing will give people the ability to actually start a side gig setting up media servers for people using cheap pis, and before I saw the limit message I was thinking that people would just use their key for their customers. And now having tested Jellyfin head to head, there is no comparison. Emby lifetime cost is much less than paying for much more computer to be used as a server for Jellyfin. The Jellyfin client forces the server to call ffmpeg to play mkv files, which grinds most low cost SBCs to a halt. Emby runs find with 3 streams on an Rpi3, OpiPC and many other cheap boards. Considering Plex (cough cough) is the other alternative, Emby wins hands down.

Did not understand part "qsync is for qnap nas" Raptor lake is latest generation intel cpu with very good gpu, UHD 770 if i m not mistaken on i7. Use that for transcoding. i have the i9 of same generation and gpu is very powerful. Disable all Vappi checkboxes, and try it. Drivers and everithing seems in place, so that should work fine. For MSI Radeon 6650xt, i think you are missing drivers or something since it is not detected. Question is if it is supported in emby also.

I just posted plugin 1.0.0.0 You can now remove individual tags and you can change Primary images (for now you can select new images only from your server). @Cheesegeezerand I will try today to move the plugin to the Emby Library. Vic

I hope you have taken the steps to disable remote access, at least for now until this is investigated and resolved.

@rbjtechAlways a pleasure to read your full_of_wisdom replies Indeed, I was testing Emby on a mini HP PC yesterday (12500T/M2 SSD + 16Go Ram), after a quick and dirty install of debian 11 (not working with 12th gen) and 12 (yeah supporting the iGPU). The medias are on a separate machine over a simple 1G connection. Really nothing fancy. But I'm so new to Intel Transcoding that I have everything to learn. I had a really poor experience with that distro, being blocked a every steps to make transcoding work... On the pre-installed windows 11, I also tested emby server and couldn't pass 3 to 4 concurrent streams. Not the performance I had in mind when reading you could do 7 to 8 4K with your setup, but I had no memories about the details of your hardware either. Today, I reinstalled the last fedora on the miniPC and installed the snap version of Emby (4.7.11). No quick-sync available, only vaapi. Performance is quite OK. I could hit 5 transcodes of 1080p but 4K was not starting at all. So I installed on bare metal the last beta to the system. QuickSync is showned in the list (yeah) and 4K is playing pretty nicely (yeah x2). I could ran 5-6 streams (with regulation activated) before hitting the 1G bandwith. The result was much better than expected for a 2 hours experience with that distro starting from scratch In the end, it seems that Emby-beta is far more confortable with quick-sync on linux and for my setup (Emby on a different machine than the media and a slow lan connection), even faster than windows. I wonder if I could hook up the mini to the main server with something else than a lan connecter, like thunderbolt for example... Anyway, I will continue to benchmark all of this in the days to come.

Favourites are user based and it would be great if a "watchlist" was the same and provided a list of movies and tvshows in the same view the same as favourites. Top picks is great but that is admin based as you said and provides a totally different function.

I'm an Emby lifetime subscriber. I have this problem too. A quick search brought up this conversation. If the plugin author isn't willing to fix his plugin, because whatever the reason it's failing it's his plugin that is failing, then he should withdraw it from the Emby plugin library. Asking all of us to go through potentially thousands of video and audio metadata files is just not something anyone should seriously suggest. If the plugin cannot operate because of a metadata issue, when everything else works just fine ... That is an issue with the plugin not some metadata irregularity in the huge media libraries some of us possess. The solution is to fix this plugin and release an update for it, or withdraw it from the plugin library offerings.

+1, I don't see why this wasn't added years ago, just a basic list of series / movies you add that automatically get removed when you've completed them.

I just updated this plugin for compatibility with the .30 beta of Emby. I haven't been able to do much work on this recently, but the main thing I have left to complete is a UI for manually generating extras images when you want to override the defaults for specific cases or experiment with different settings.
