  3. Hallelujah! I moved the season 6 folder out of Cartoons then rescanned. Then I deleted the jpg's and nfo's in the folder, leaving only the mp4's and srt's. Then I moved the folder back into Cartoons. Now all 10 episodes are showing properly for season 6 in Emby. Thanks everyone for their help, but especially @Lukefor his excellent idea. As a side note, I'm really pissed at myself. I should have known to delete the nfo's before I rescanned. Thanks again for everyone's help!

  4. What you could try to do is move the series folder completely out of your library, then run and complete a scan of all libraries to clean out the database. Then add it back, but making sure to delete any nfo files under that series folder first.

  5. @LukeIs there a way to disable this setting? I'd prefer to always have the video in landscape instead of a tiny frame in portrait (auto rotate on my phone isn't great, so it's almost permanently stuck in portrait mode).

  12. It is the number of devices using Premiere features on the same key (and they drop off te list after about a week) - you can enter same key as many times and in as many servers as you like, and device number is cumulative. https://emby.media/support/articles/Premiere-Limits.html

  13. Thank you for the response and the effort to reproduce the scenario. It’s a mystery. I’ll live with a short-term solution I have and wait and see if someone has an answer and/or see if it corrects itself over time and/or wait for the next release of an Emby stable version, including a possible update of the Trailers plugin.

  15. Restarted Emby this morning and went to work. No accessing the server today. RAM usage hovering at ~150mb. In all fairness, I believe when the ram usage was so high, it was the first time scanning the music (and photos prior to removing) library. (For context, I use Windows Storage Spaces for the storage pool. It's about 30tb total, so I think 15 usable...at any rate, I repurpose my older PCs for the "server" when I upgrade. So I recently moved the pool to a new PC. Actually I just swapped out the motherboards and OS drive. Reinstall Emby and try to remember my settings to put them in. This is one main reason I need to upgrade to Premiere. I have the folder art/pics in the folders so it doesn't have to keep redownloading everything. This only happens once every 2-3 years though....). Thanks for all the help. Will still probably add another 16gb ram, as it is constantly using about 40%. You guys are very responsive and design a very nice product. More reason for me to get Premiere.

  18. No. In fact I was using it last night before I went to bed. So it looks like my stick might be borked, I'm not certain as even restoring it gives me this error haha. If you want you can close this thread, as this is NOT an Emby problem at all, it's an issue with either Amazon services or my stick. The sideloaded app works fine so I'm not going to press further. Thank you EBR for taking the time to look at this thread.

  21. Ok, tutto risolto...ho reso ognuno dei miei utenti, un utente locale, utilizzando un DDNS ...e così facendo, sicuramente non avrò nessun problema relativo ad emby connect. Rimane sempre comunque (ma per gli amministratori), il problema da me indicato della cancellazione automatica random, della email di un utente emby connect. Grazie a GrimReaper per l'aiuto datomi sulla dritta sul DDNS che totalmente ignoravo.

You are right (as was I initially, as I remembered it as such), when I went to produce example I noticed that I've changed wrong rating (tmdb instead of imdb) within the NFO, once correct rating changed, either Scan library files or regular Scan media library task read modified NFO and update Community Rating accordingly.

  23. No, you can't do it from router settings, only your ISP can assign you one, static external IP. Yes. You surely have, every (and all) user(s) you have on your server are primarily local users, with their username and password - that's all they need to connect to your server, Connect doesn't have to be involved at all.

  26. Scan alone of the updated NFOs should do it - are your items locked (or your original NFOs had <lockdata> tag set to "true"), as that'd prevent any metadata update/change? Btw, if you're writing your NFOs with TMM, disable Emby's NFO saver, you don't want both programs to constanly overwrite those. Edit: Scratch that, just tested it myself: neither Scan library files nor Scan media library nor Refresh Metadata>Search for missing reads updated rating(s), even though updated NFO carries later timestamp; @Luke, shouldn't those be read without the need to Replace ALL metadata, as that seems way excessive for an updated metadata field or two?

  27. found it. In case someone else runs into this, I rebooted after uninstalling then re-installing, and EMBY for WINDOWS subsection showed up in the left pane. from there on the DOWNLOADS (not Manage downloads) I can specify.

  28. In a nut shell when your ISP is running CGNAT it's like a firewall in that no inbound traffic will reach your LAN unless a device on your LAN has started/opened a connection first. There are several work-arounds that I'd consider easy to complex. A lot of this depends on the nature of how your remote access will be used. If it's just you and family using mobile phones, tablets, computers on the go then the easier method is using a service such as TailScale that creates a private VPN. Tailscale acts like a middle man or director. Your server will run Tailscale and open a connection to their service which punches through the CGNAT. Then any client setup with Tailscale and authorized to connect to your server can start the VPN. Tailscale has your port open already so it trying to shim the client to use that port so everything is direct without them doing any relaying of packets. This works really well. The are middle solutions such as getting a cheap hosting site and setting up a tunnel from your Server to the hosted computer. You setup Emby to use the public IP of the hosted machine which acts like a relay for your server. No software is needed on a client. The most complex method but not hard (for me anyway) is using Cloudflare via an Argo tunnel. It's "complex" due to the number of steps needed as a whole. You will need a domain name so if you don't have one already, will need to register one. You create an account at Cloudflare which is free. You then have to set/adjust the nameservers for your domain to what Cloudflare tells you to set them to. Next is adjusting the settings on Cloudflare that work well with Emby. You then have Cloudflare generate a certificate for you to use which will be in the wrong format so this needs to be converted to PK#12 format using a password. The generated PK#12 cert and password used is then added to Emby in the Network menu. Lastly an Argo tunnel is setup using a subdomain such as emby.yourdomain.com. Setting the tunnel up for Linux and Windows is pretty much copy/paste from scripts I've got. The client side of the tunnel is then set to point to Emby's port. Your now done and ready to test. With the use of the tunnel your server can run from anywhere without any changes needed. By the same token, there is nothing you need to do when your ISP changes your WAN IP. So it really depends on need what the best approach is. Carlo PS I can assist parts of this after figuring out the proper solution.

  29. hello.. i would like to add to this where the table TypedBaseItems does not exist anymore and i needed to update the options.xml files in the directories found under /opt/emby/root/default as my installation is via cloudbox dockers. hope it helps someone.. thanks
