Would it be feasible to have a dialogue box that alerts you when you are about to add an item to a playlist that already exists on that playlist? Thanks.2 points

Hi, you can ignore my last question, all music genres did show up after another refresh of the metadata, all problems solved now.2 points

Same here. After rescanning my HDHR Flex tuner last week, the NBC ATSC3 channel is now marked as DRM. The channel is no longer available in the Emby Live TV Guide. The HDHR Flex is able to tune the channel and it's available in the HDHR app on my Android Shield, but when I try to play it, I get the message: Unable to play channel: Content protection required Did a little research and there's very specific requirements to play DRM channels on HDHR. On the Android Shield, I would need to give Location permission to the HDHR app and enbale Wifi on the Shield even if I'm using ethernet (which I am). Um, NO! Media Library Icons for Emby Updated: 07/10/2021 I've always had a thing for the simple gradient style Hulu overlays on their library images. I'm not that great at graphic design, but I can mimic some things pretty decent. I hope! It's very simple, and clean and something I've been wanting to attempt for a while. I've never done anything like this, so constructive criticism is appreciated! More color options for media libraries coming soon!!! Also included to make your icons match across the platform, are video genre, music genre and TV network icons: I've hosted this only my Google Drive, so if if the link is not working please, reach out to me and let me know and I will do what I can to resolve! The font (Kirvy), and PSD's are located in the \~TOOLS\ sub-folder Media Library Icons - DOWNLOAD HERE Feel free to create your own to fit your needs! Photoshop Template - DOWNLOAD HERE Gimp Template - DOWNLOAD HERE (ALL credit for creation of Gimp template are thanks to, Mibok, who took the time to recreate the Photoshop template in Gimp!) Many have asked for a smaller and easier version of the .PSD file to create their own custom icons. I have simplified the .PSD and it is now compatible with, Photopea.com photo editor so no need to own Photoshop to make your own icons! Download the new .PSD HERE Thanks for giving me so many hours of entertainment, this was something fun to try and give something back! (If any of the above images are not allowed, please inform me ASAP and I will correct it) *** Change Log*** 07/10/2021 Added GIMP template, created by, Mibok to allow users alternate means to create their own icons 01/25/2021 Added lighter .psd file for easier custom icons 10/04/2020 Added "Silver" Media Library Icon Set and all remaining requests and missing items in each set 08/15/2020 Added some requests and "Emerald" (green) Media Library Icons Set 07/06/2020 Added "Gold" (yellow) Media Library Icons Set 06/29/2020 Added "Wine" and "Steel" (red and blue) Media Library Icons Set 06/29/2020 Updated sample images 06/22/2020 Added "Black" Media Library Icons Set 02/27/2020 Added TV Network Icons for 49 U.S. networks 02/27/2020 Added ~MEDIA LIBRARIES sub-folder to help keep the folder organized 02/24/2020 Added Phase One of Music Genres to Google Drive 01/25/2020 Added requested images to Google Drive 12/21/2019 LITE - Hulu Style Library Icons PSD Added (Uploaded PSD with no graphics for a faster, lighter PSD option) 12/21/2019 Media Library - No Text Icons Added 12/17/2019 Generic Movie Genre Icons Added To Do: Update preview post with images Continue color sets: Black - Maroon - Navy - Emerald- Gold - Silver Update No Text Icons Downgrade PSD for compatibility for older versions of GIMP/Photoshop TV Networks - USA Optimize PSD for simplicity1 point

I am using Emby docker version in a Synology NAS, when I use conversion with a movie(byterate 4mbps), I choose hevc with 4mbps. When conversion is finished, I found the movie to be like this. The byterate is only 984kbps. Am I wrong with some setups? BTW: Everything is ok if I choose H.264. ffmpeg-transcode-b003362c-3977-4fe8-b87e-a82df2089098_1.txt1 point

I encountered a minor issue with the reports plugin since the last update on March 15th. When opening the expanded popup menu with checkboxes, I am unable to scroll down to see the bottom of the list which is cut off by the screen. Scrolling for the main page works fine. I see this behavior when I select "Episodes" > Expanded Menu 3 dots > "Filter". I am unable to select "Missing Episodes"1 point

Dev would have to comment but the parser sort of removes 2049 part of name and TMDB query returns first movie. Defect of provider not having an exact match method. One of the issues with year search is Blade Runner will appear for multiple years per TMDB per country release data. Yes there is a hack here with knowing providerids1 point

There's no elegant solution for this. When you get more than one series from GetItems, you only can lookup the season and the episode in the season and see where the episode name is the same. The SubtitleSearchRequest gives you the episode number as IndexNumber and the season number as ParentIndexNumber.1 point

You can use ILibraryManager and call GetItems. In the query (InternalItemsQuery), specify the series name and for IncludeITemTypes, specify 'series'. This way, you should get the series item. This returns a collection of BaseItem and you can the get the provider ids from the ProviderIds property.1 point

@Cheesegeezer Hi Dave - Actually I noticed the Wiki was a little out of date on other items following yesterdays update - so I've restructured it all and added all the missing functions such as 'reprocess' / 'library selection' and the MKV check. Full menu structure below - https://github.com/Cheesegeezer/MediaInfoWiki/wiki1 point

or just delete the .bif file and it will regenerate it.1 point

I cancelled cable TV service with my ISP in December. Turned in my cable card (which had gone from $2 to $6/month) and bought a HDHR Flex 4K to replace my HDHR Prime. My bill decreased by more than half! But with ATSC3 channels starting to use DRM (so far for me, it's only the NBC channel, but I'm sure the others will soon follow), I'm thinking I should have waited before investing money in a new tuner... My setup is Emby server on Ubuntu 20.04, HDHR Flex 4K, surround sound on Yamaha AVR. Personally, I don't notice much difference in quality on the ATSC channels. If you're interested, I posted my experience with ATSC DRM on another thread earlier today: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/115470-atsc3-with-drm-is-coming-say-goodbye/#comment-12354281 point

My like bumped this one up to a measly 10 likes after 4.5 years. Honestly I expected this feature out of the box, to me it seems more like a defect fix than an enhancement request. Would it be within the capability of a plug-in to either prevent duplicates, or upon an event or schedule to search/delete duplicates? if so I might try my hand at plug-in development.1 point

I would also like the ability to display either captions or titles with my photos….This would be fantastic when showing photos on the TV to someone…1 point

I would delete the Emby firewall rules, shutdown Emby. Go to the system.xml (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\config\system.xml) Change <IsPortAuthorized>true</IsPortAuthorized> to false and save. Start Emby Also what is your "network status" Private or Public?1 point

Sorry for the late reaction, the issue came because of me limiting the hardware capabilities of my VM. It's good again!1 point

Thanks Grim ! I'm gonna use these - the Emby generated posters are looking a bit tired now imo .. (or maybe I just fancy a change .. haha)1 point

It unofficially took on the name of 'Emby Theater for Android' because the standard Android app in "TV mode" looks exactly like the traditional Windows (and others) Theater UI1 point

Right now since a few big 5 commercial networks are already starting to use DRM with ATSC 3 and there hasn't been any statement on Emby for their support of the A3SC standard I think this post https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=389762#p389762 needs to be factored into purchase decisions. It seems that HDR is the big thing coming with ATSC not 4K, not sure how that is working with Emby Live TV now either. Martin1 point

I have this now with my server. I created a new music library called Radio Stations and pointed it at the folder I setup with links to a handful of college radio station with a live feed on their website. I find the m3u8 feed address and add that to text file, name it the call sign of the station and save it as a strm file. I'll then find their station logo and download that, rename it to match the strm file and put them all together in the Radio Stations folder. Scanned it and it works. It's not perfect, but it does work remotely I hope that helps you or someone...1 point
