Hi. Cayars is working to try and find some sort of solution for you within the current design because this is such a niche situation that I doubt it is something that will get added. Of course a bunch of people could come in here and prove me wrong...2 points

if you run a movie from the collection then play trailers from the collection option - 2 intros before the movie watching a movie from a collection of 3 movies and watching 2 trailers of two other films from the collection... lol This is fine? looks very strange why not show trailers of a random movie from the library?1 point

I will guess a bad encode or non-standard encode as I can't seem to find anything on that "CodecTag":"HEVC". As the device only technically supports "hevc-codectag=hvc1,hev1". But yes this can be overridden occasionally depending on differences.1 point

You can also use FireOS version. 6.2.7.1 and backwards were passthrough1 point

@TheGru do you have TimeLordMovies installed ? I had to disable it from running, it messed with TopPicks Library.1 point
-
But what would Codec Tag:HEVC even indicate? Thought that there are only 2 codec tags with main difference between hvc1 and hev1 being where the parameter sets are stored - where does HEVC fall-in there? And it is based on what specs?1 point

.55 Emby.TopPicks_1.0.0.55.zip Better logging. If an items causes a server crash the log will tell us exactly why it did. Custom Nfo files for items are created if serialization errors. There shouldn't be anymore reference errors.1 point

Is it possible your remote IP address is changing and what you are seeing is actually what's in the cache (until you reset it, it then connects to the new IP). Maybe make a note of the WAN IP (in the dashboard) and then check it again when the issue occurs ?1 point
-
I think that with NFO disabled, Emby ignores them (or doesn't create them) for items in the libraries. Emby must use the dates in the database. But because Top Picks' works around the date added in order to place items in a rank from 1 to 9, that could explain why other libraries are not affected. Keep us updated.1 point

Hi. Actually I believe the issue is what was identified above. The codec tag on these items is unexpected.1 point
-
I have resolve the issue through emby blacklist I prefer this approach its easy to isolate specific IP or and subnet. The iptable works fine, the issue because is I opened internal and external port forward which allows guest into emby once I removed the port forward guest are completely isolated.1 point

In that case I'd suggest getting rid of that large number of excess subtitles or obtain external srt subs and see how does that compare? Edit: Also, if you lower Chromecast streaming quality in your app, does freezing still occur?1 point

I've added this to the Wiki to help others - thanks for the Info !1 point

Hi. You might think about using a drive pooling solution of some kind while you're doing this and then this will never be an issue again.1 point
-
Hi, this should be resolved in the upcoming 4.8 server release. The beta is available if you need immediate relief. Thanks !1 point

@pdeliotDevs will have to comment but looks related to the "CodecTag":"HEVC". As playback info is limited to "hevc-codectag=hvc1,hev1".1 point

Found out why my header wasn't scrolling. It was my browser DuckDuckGo Privacy extension. Once I gave the Emby app permission everything worked again.1 point

could be released as a Jellyfin plugin with a port to Emby available for those who know how0 points
