If you are starting from scratch then you won't have the database file yet. It will be created while using the plugin. You should be fine by skipping that step.

@Luke I did, seems like the metadata are showing up slowly for some stuffs not all of them. Been at 85% for 5 hours. I'll let it run all night and see in the morning. Will post an update, Thank you

I’m more of a UI dude, rather than figuring out algorithms and this is where @samuelqwe steps in!! Absolutely brilliant! We have the 4 of us in a great group, @chef ,Sam, me and the power user @rbjtech. Rich is a fantastic scripter and we’ve used heaps of his CLI info to create useful plugins for the community.

So since the update on the AirPods Pro’s recieving Spatial Audio, which supports Dobly Atmos, I decided to see if it worked with the Dolby atmos movies that I have in my Emby server, but found that it didnt work. Like I know that it works on my device as it works with the Disney+ app, but not on Emby? Will there be support for this in the future?

Auto-Organize PLUS - public beta Built upon the Original Auto Organize plugin, Auto-Organize PLUS is a new version which has some enhancements to help sort new media files into the Emby library. Mobile View: Enhanced Table Layout: with Media Info about the files in the watch folder. Multiple Watch Folder Settings: Existing Library Item/Watch Folder Item Media Info Comparisons: File Status/States: Files in the Watched folder can be in several states depending on user settings. Existing Item Existing Items are items that exist both in the watched folder, and also already exist in the Emby library. Users can click the existing item icon to compare the two items, and help decide if the file should copy over into the library folder, or not. New Resolution New resolutions are items that exist in the library, but may not have the same quality as the item in the watched folder. For example: 1080p, and 2160p. The "New Resolution" status will happen, when "Smart Auto Detection" is turned off for a certain media type. Processing The Processing status will happen when a file is being copied, or moved into the library folder. Success Success happens when a file has completely moved into the library folder with it's new name Failure Failure happens when a file name can not be fully parsed, and the media can not be understood by Auto Organize 2.0 User Input Required (Pending...) If a particular TV Show spans multiple folders within the Emby library, Auto Organize 2.0 will wait for user input to decide where to place the file. This state will may happen with "Smart Auto Detection" turned off, or on. Not Enough Disk Space If a file hasn't enough room to copy into the library folder, because it is full. In Use When a file is being copied into the monitored folder from another source, or is being used by another process. When the file becomes available the status will change. New Media When a file has been added to the monitored folder, and it doesn't exist in the Emby library, but "Smart Auto Detection" has been turned off. The file will enter the "New Item" state if all applicable metadata can be obtained to name it. This will allow the user to sort it when they are ready to. New Edition New Edition will happen if the media item in the watched folder has a different release parsed in it's name. For example: "Theatrical", and "UnCut". Table Sorting: Sort the files by stripping out certain types of media, and only showing others. Also, filter the current displayed items by "Name", "Date", and "Status" Current Issues, and on-going development Plugin configuration Page Headers are currently having issues in Emby. Options are not hidden behind the Header on scroll. This is a core issue that is currently being fixed Smart Matches are currently being enhanced, and the experience with smart matches is currently not what the end result will be. Made a few images for TV Networks based on my Network list. They are all mainly grabbed from logopedia, all believed to be 'free to use', will place them in a ZIP on a google drive if people want to download them, nothing special, I have not created the images, just placed them in a 16:9 frame for use with Emby there is 136 images. https://1bestlinks.net/TVNetworks1 (updated link) Samples below;

The problem of genre in the music video library. I have a custom music video content and genre was manually added to each content. But click on the genre, the content doesn't come out in Emby Theater Desktop, emby for iOS, etc... However, all seven items come out well on the Genres tab. Something is strange...

obviously, we have totally different opinions because what I consider noise, is appealing to you (screenshot). which is fine, I just find it fascinating how different perspective people have on things. Though still I don't get how this single tag (100000 + 1!) will change you user's term searching.

Feature suggestion: Currently any content (movie,tv show etc) that gets to "Top Picks" selections is getting tagged with "top-pick" & "top-pick-x" tags. Once the content is no longer on Top Picks, the tag is removed. How about upon removal another tag is added (eg. top-pick-featured") so that a history of content (what was once part of Top Picks) is maintained. There are many useful things you can do with that tag, like generate collections/playlists with Smart Playlists based on this tagged content. Just planting seeds

In per-library setting, enable NFO Metadata Saver, enable Save images into media folders. For existing items, you'll need to Refresh metadata after enabling those options.

I can absolutely think of ways this can be very useful.

Just trying on Pixel 7 for the first time. ATSC1 mpeg2video looks this way when direct played. I looked through the Android settings for anything video related like HDR and didn't find any. Would client logs help?

Missing channel logos only seem to be happening when using emby theater on my desktop, the emby app on my sony TV displays as it should

Then server admin/owner needs to subscribe to higher-tier Premiere license (45 or 75 devices limit) or you need to unlock your TV app (one-off purchase) so your device will not count against device limit - note that unlocking your app only enables full playback, for LiveTV features extended Premiere is required.

Last night, there was the normal shutdown, but after some minutes, there was a restart of Emby. So I checked the system again and I have found the problem! The dietpi-backup runs every night at this time and it seems to shutdown everything. The problem with the backup was, that there was an error during backup, which is the reason for not restarting Emby. During upgrade of Emby, I also fixed the backup error and thats the reason why the Emby Server was started again last night... But I do not really need this daily backup job, so I removed it. Sorry!

Yeah I am running an Unraid server and under CGNAT and I use Cloudflare Zero Trust and it just works and it is pretty easy to setup. Zerotier is a bit more complex and not completely free.

That took me HOURS to finally get.

I changed the IDs that looked like the ones listed in the library settings IMDB, UniqueID, tt123456 etc.. I started on my Sci-Fi collection and simply added sci-fi in front of the IDs. All I need is to properly display the movie name and description and of course the artwork. I learned my lesson early on to simply copy the movie folders as they were with the .nfo file, artwork, landscape and posters etc. excluding the actual movie of course for simple backup. It's a never ending process for me having fun playing with posters to kind of make them match next to one another in contrast or whatever. If I'm not happy with the fetching sites posters I'll look for an old ad poster and make my own... so I always back things up and not afraid to make a mistake And if anyone's interested, I once experimented to try to make something similar to act like a Windows OS empty folder to dump the home screen library pics. The idea was to turn some 45 Library categories into maybe 10. I have about 7 TV related libraries and created one main TV folder, one main MOVIE folder etc. When you entered the main TV folder you would see the home screen as usual, but only the 6 tv libraries.. and it worked but I heard the computer working on rewriting things so I quickly exited and put things back as usual..

Note Music item genre links do show Music Video items (musicGenreId), so not sure if there is separation on MusicVideoGenre links.

Thanks for all the replies... I have everything the way I want now by simply editing the IDs in the nfo file. Turned out the last STRM I made that worked by not duplicating the original file time marker was because I forgot to copy the nfo file, and I had the library not fetching anything. Still not sure why the strm files had their own markers compared to original but it's no longer important.

Weird I tried it via Configure Emby on the server and its didnt work. Just tried it like you said thru the actually Emby Theatre app and seems to be working. Thanks so much!

Never mind, I figured it out. I set it up to allow incoming for ports 8096 and 8920. Now it works!

See first post for update V1.0.0.5 Removed Top Pick Items from the available item list re introduced the auto scanning... this will take place 1 min after an item event is detected re introduced auto run after a library scan tested against top pick plugin and there is no endless looping... but please test fixed the locked items bug. OK, there was no sign-on problem. It was my network misbehaving. In the code below I have fixed / added: 1) the scrolling of the EPG, it now keeps the top page position when scrolled left by the timer and when you return from playing a video 2) improved the 'live TV' playing algorithm. Pluto.tv plays without stalling 3) added new filters for 'min community' rating and 'min critic rating' 4) fixed bulk edit so it refreshes the page when you edit only the 'favorite' and 'played' fields. Please let me know if you find any bugs. Vic

So, i've completely changed the programming language now. I've moved away from Web Development and I'm using .Net MAUI now. Which is a great for x platform development. Its still very new platform and has it's limitiations but I think that in the next 6 months it's gonna be pretty well rounded and feature rich. It makes sense to me because i can deploy on android, android TV, iOS, MacOs and Windows Desktop. I'm still figuring a lot of stuff out but the basics are there and it's pleasant to work with, quite similar to WMC MVVM structure so i'm feeling quite at home. Routing is bliss!! Templating is also great so and i can write in c# which reduces my learning curve massively. Anyway i looks very similar to the Javascript version i was working on and i'm certainly happy with it so far. Datagram is sent over the local network to find local servers Select Users and then you have the option to stay signed in

I'm getting a slightly different issue that feels related When I press up or down in my movies library in movies view it adds a left to every up and down command using either keyboard or remote control. Just pressing down goes down & left Just pressing up goes up & left It only occurs when navigating the 'boxart' portion, the menus are unaffected. Interestingly if I go to movies > folders then back to movies > movies (without returning to the main emby menu) it works correctly. I currently have it set to open movies > movies when opening my movies library from the main menu

Would it be possible to add emulators to the Web interface and play them in chrome so you could play your games on a computer that may not let you install emulators it be like playing flash games but it be nes for example

This is the preferred way to mount remote shares on Synology. Go to Tools menu and select the Mount Remote Folder. You can use either CIFS or NFS but most likely will use CIFS. This will bring up a screen similar to Once you create this Mount you will have a new shared on your main system that points to the ds200j and you'll be able to add this new mount directly to Emby Server. Let us know if you have any problems.

These plugin are very impressive, wish I had the brains, but think I'd prefer the years filter to be replaced with a decades filter with supplemental years sub filters.
