If you want extra data using the c# API then make sure you add DtoOptions to your InternalItemsQuery. When requesting extra data through a url, or usi g the JavaScript, add "premieredate" to the "fields" param in the url.

Hi, I would love to see the possibility to only update ratings (IMDB & Rotten Tomatoes) without the need to 'Refresh metadata' (as this will refresh all metadata). Ideally as scheduled task since (especially for new movies) the ratings can change quite a lot. Thanks!

Issue Resolved. Sorry for the long wait on the update. Turns out that at some point I must have used the locally signed cert instead of the cloudflare one. After the switch the issue was fixed immediately. I will note that I had to add the cloudflare root cert whilst converting my cert. I swore I had been using it when initially setting up my SSL on emby but I guess not. Solution: Im a idiot, use the cloudflare cert properly.

I hit "play all" on a collection and it doesn't show the next film in "Next Up" after I quit out of it. This is apparently intended behaviour, and the same applies to playlists. This is absurd. Why even have the "play all" option? Who's sitting down to watch a full collection's worth of films, or a full playlist? I have playlists for The Prisoner for its various episode orders, and there's no way I'm getting through them in one sitting. I was going to make that my next show to watch but if I'm going to have to keep track manually of my progress through the playlist it makes the playlist fairly pointless TBH. There's no reason playlists or collections shouldn't show up in Next Up.

Hi, Thank you for the great product. It is a pleasure to use it. I have seen some posts but they are years ago regarding my request. Is there a plan to have notification (when adding movies, shows, live tv etc.) from the emby app ? This means to get a push message on my android phone, iphone, windows app, etc. With 3rd party software its not so cool. Thank you.

Are we talking about syncing playback between users (devices) on one server, or is it more about attempting to sync playback across multiple servers. I can think of a way to sync playback across multiple devices connected to one server. But, I'm not entirely sure about syncing playback across different servers, that might need a 3rd party app, and hosting... Maybe? Inside one server, where users are on different devices, the playback sync might be easy enough... Not perfectly sync'd, but probabaly within the second... Perhaps millisecond depending on the connection speed, and location. I thought there was an app being developed which did this sort of thing, but I'm not sure what came of it. Sounds like it could be set up as follows, for a one server setup: 1. Users login (create a session) 2. One user is set to the controlling user 3. The controlling session user is responsible for beginning playback. 4. Probabaly some kind of config page off the server dashboard to setup a group to control everything... I guess... to start. 5. When the controlling session starts playback, we grab the event, and send the same command to the other device sessions in the group. 6. Maybe some kind of playstate pause command to sync everything up close (close enough) to each other. Like I say, that could be the easy part. Maybe... Across multiple server, this would need an authentication to setup, and login, sending server IDs around to attempt controlling. Might be too much for me to write. But the one server setup could be done.

Apart from the controls that we have for schedules by contents, it would be possible to control a library or plugin through a pin.

Could the alternate order option please be added? Right now, DVD order and absolute order can be selected, but Alternate is missing. Below is an example of a show on TVDB with an alternate order. Thanks!

First this is nothing to do with Emby at all. Emby plays exactly what is presented to it and that is good. However I have several old, VERY old in some cases, video file that I ripped or recorded years ago. They are mostly TV shows and I lost the DVDs/VHS tapes that they originated from many years ago in a fire so I cannot rip them again. The problem is that there is a low hum in the audio for much of the file. I would like to clean them up but I simply do not really know how. What I am asking is if there is a way to remove the hum without too much effort and without degrading the video? I am basically lazy so please take that into account as well.

If anything maybe emby could say: "During black Friday week we pledge 10$ of every lifetime subscription to a worldwide charity helping children the next natural desaster zone a third world medical organization" Something like that... I hope not. It would cheapen the purchases made prior to the discount. The only reason to do such would be if Emby were hemorrhaging money and absolutely had to have more cash. I think it would be one of the most stupid moves ever made by a software company.

From time to time. I think the underlying issue is that I usually use a 2k (1440p) laptop which I occasionally connect to an external 4k display through thunderbolt. This sometimes causes these kinds of issues in some applications (like in my browser too). I think it is a video card driver glitch.

What Emby won't do is extract the foreign parts from a full or SDH internal subtitle file. You will need to either extract the foreign parts from the PGS subtitles yourself, or download foreign only srt subs.

As long as your internal or external foreign only subtitles are tagged correctly with the forced flag then all you should see are the foreign parts.

The individual series folders as well as the seasons get created, but the season folder remain empty (I assume some .nfo and the strm are in there ? ) Since some seem to get at least some episodes in the series, could it be my folder structure ? I do not have individual season folders in the series. embyserver.txt edith: ok...tried it in an individual season folder in a series and it seems to work....seems like the plugin needs to find out if there are season folders in the series folders or not.

@arrbee99 certain things you can done at any level but it really depends on what you want. But yes font-size at .alphaPicker-fixed and .alphaPickerRow provide different results. But you can apply font-size at any of the three levels, color at one, and top at one. You also have the hard coded 27 item limit in picker as you are missing "Z" do to "Æ". You have to modify the alphapicker.js or correct the Sortname for that special character movie.

Just to chime in, this is the single most important addition to Emby to me. The amount of work spent on the ATV replacement, and subtitles in general make me . Looking forward to hearing about a round of testing or release.

It depends on a number of things. What other Kaby Lake (7th gen) processors can your motherboard support? Would the best replacement you can get be enough of a jump in processing capacity? Are you running an OS that can easily handle a processor swap? Or did you mean a more comprehensive CPU/MB/RAM upgrade? Same questions plus a few more.

Hi, I'm pretty positive that the updated version hasn't caused anything, because it is mainly about making the matching between the two sides more accurate. However what i can say is that the stable 4.7 release does trigger the item added event very early, often before internet metadata has been obtained, and I think this is the reason why the Trakt plugin can't match things up since the info isn't there yet. The upcoming 4.8 release does wait until after metadata has been obtained and that should help resolve this. We're going to have one more 4.7.X maintenance release. I'll have to see if that change can be backported to 4.7 although I'm not positive that it can. Thanks.

If I were you I would ask myself: 1. Is there any problem related to CPU? It yes, then go to 2., if not then no upgrade. 2. What is the problem (e.g. not possible to transcode stuff you need) and would a new CPU solve that issue? If yes, go to 3., if not no upgrade. 3. Is the problem worth to through the money at it? If yes, upgrade, if not, no upgrade. End.

Look at the screenshot under 'selecting a rule icon' to see how to change the icon for a rule. Only the Material Design icon set included with Emby is supported.

Instructions Install the plugin from the catalog, then reboot Emby Server. On the server dashboard, find the navigation menu entry "Transcoding Tests" somewhere among the last entries. First of all, you need to Configure Settings Please enter two different paths for test files and the generated output The output can take quite an amount of storage, most of which is taken by the transcoded output files. I would recommend the setting above, as it is sometimes useful to be able to inspect the results, but you can choose to "Keep output from most recent run" to save space. Create Test Plan A test plan defines a certain set of tests which can be executed as often as desired. Click "Add Test Plan" to run the test plan wizard. For starters, it makes the most sense to create a plan that is focused on a certain area, so choose "Start by Choosing Test Areas", which will show the following screen: Choose an area of interest and click "Next". Test File Selection You will see a list of files which are applicable for the selected area(s). Accept the default selections or make your own and click next Detail Selections In the following wizard pages, you will be presented a number of selections. Which ones you'll see depends on your previous selections (test files and areas). You will see only those selections that are applicably to at least a subset of the selections that are already made. BE CAREFUL: All those selections are MULTIPLIERS, so you can quickly end up with a huge list of tests Transcode Segment Selection For initial experiments, I would recommend to choose either(!) "1 Minute from Start" or "3 Minutes from Start" - to make it less boring to watch the executions. Wizard Finish I would recommend to enter a descriptive name instead of the default test plan name. The checkbox "Run this plan right now" is working in the latest plugin version now. If you made it that far - great! You have created your first test plan. Execute Test Plan To execute your test plan, click the three-dot menu next to the test plan in the list and choose "Execute Test Plan". A new wizard will open. You can choose to execute specific runs from the plans only, or simply click "Next". Test File Download In this step, the required test files will be downloaded. You can only wait until completion and click "Next". Probing Test Files 'Now, the test files get probed quickly and you may choose whether to extract images from the output files. To minimize delay, choose "No image" or "Single Image". Press "Finish" and the execution will start. It will look like this: TIP It's often interesting to open the "User Sessions" view in a separate tab or window to watch during execution. Opening Output Files The latest version of the plugin allows opening output files by clicking on them on the result pages. Folders are shown in the file explorer, and files are opened directly in the registered application.
