There is no Remove on an administrator account only user accounts. So if this is an Admin account you need to create another admin account login change the account you are trying to edit to non-admin and then you can remove the password.

Tried to search for this feature request but couldn't find it. It would be very good to be able to sort and filter the content of collections. I have some collections with a lot of movies (1001 movies you have to see before you die, Criterion collection, etc). As of today you can sort and filter the collections themselves but you can't sort and filter the content. So if I want to find an unseen movie from my 1001 collection I will have to scroll through a lot of movies. In the collection view you also separate categories (movies, tv, ...) and it would be great to be able to choose to not separate them also.

Hey, I'm relatively new to Emby and I'm currently trying to set up a Windows server mainly dedicated to streaming and transcoding media files. Best scenario would be to have the server running 24/7 but I have no idea if the energy consumption of my build would be too high for that (we pay a lot for electricity in Germany). :'D CPU: Intel Core i5-11400 (Intel UHD 730) Mainboard: MSI B560M-A Pro RAM: Crucial Ballistix weiß DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200, CL16-18-18-36 Power supply: be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W ATX 2.4 SSD: Western Digital WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD 500GB Media is currently stored on a 14 TB HDD, so I'd use a Midi Tower with some space for 3.5" HDDs. Do you think that this system might be efficient for my use case? 4K transcoding with tone mapping could be a thing but I wouldn't base my decision on that since most of my devices can direct play 4K. Parallel streams would be not more than 2. I really can't tell if this system is overkill or not enough for what I have in mind. Maybe you can give me some advice.

I would like to request a sleep timer function for the Emby app. For example, when a song is playing, it should be possible to quickly and easily set a sleep timer to shut off the song after a desired interval. Options could include 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 120 minutes. If it had this, I would be happy to purchase Premiere.

If the pages had titles, then I'd be able to navigate through my history and I wouldn't need this as much.

I found Emby excellent for listen music from my QNAP (and Iphone). Emby it's just way better than official Qmusic app. Can do more, it's fast, beautiful, and NEVER disconnect from the server! - I'm not sure how you achieved that, but man... I have no words. So, Please, Please, don't forget about Music fans when you develop Emby All the best for Emby team

We'll take a look at it but you can also test newer changes with our hosted web app - http://app.emby.media Or your built-in web app on your local server with the beta server. All LG apps are web based, so testing with the browser is nearly the same thing.

So it doesnt delete the contents. Then it should say it will delete the items but not the contents.

The only instance i would be interested for it would be in the big cinema room. But agree for TV apps etc then its no use. i used to have this stuff with XMBC on a chipped Xbox original and it grew okd very fast as you say Eic lol

I know it's an old topic. I was having some issues with music with several volumes and discs. At one point music tagged as compilation having the same exact album name and same album artist (Various Artists) will show many songs (not all) separate,like an album for each.(of course i scanned the library many many times ). I got the same music from a different file,re tagged everything and at the end only one song was separate. I use Tag&Rename for tagging and in it the album artist was Various Artists but when i checked the metadata in emby for that song ,album artist was the artist not VA. I fixed it and now everything shows as it should.I assume that what's happening earlier with many songs. I just wanted to report it.

In the mean time, I have this version below. verison1.6.41.38 Added a Corrections toggle at the bottom of the "settings" page that will enable or disable the corrections ability. TODO: Find kingy's Grid layout html for the Activity page to implement the change... I can't find it on github. Where did it go... I might be github illiterate. Add remove initial files when preprocessing option. (FR) Resolution to Parent folder. ( @Cheesegeezer are we going to add resolution to just movie folder names? or TV Shows as well?) We still have issues when provider data is not available in a different language from English. AO will sort in English as default. Do we wait for the specific language to become available, which means waiting to sort the file?? Or add the ability to change the directory names using the corrections when the data is available?... Clear browsing data to show the new settings.

ATV version scrolls slower at a set pace, and doesn't accelerate like the Android app. The slower pace of the ATV version is sustainable for the CCwGTV, while the Android version zips through about 25-35 channels and then takes a breather. I'm assuming it's RAM limited and if the device were quick enough I could probably zoom through the guide quickly enough to not need to enter channel numbers. With my phone I can swipe through the guide super fast. Another feature we need is that the ATV returns to the top of the guide when 'back' button is pressed. ETA makes you scroll.

It's good for me. I've tried it many times in the last month since the shows that we listen on live tv are back. Sunday we listen to a 1.5h long show while it being recorded and skipping commercials without any issue. Emby has two Android apps currently. One is built on standard Android and the other uses AndroidTV. There's also Android Leanback and other libraries.

It's the dependencies. Because you have a Unix like OS and an ARM processor, your Emby installation needs the Mono runtimes to execute code that was developed for Windows .NetFramework. It seems that Emby for Mono is compiled against older libraries than my plugin is targeting. But i'm on a good way and will provide you another test version later today.

Put the D3D11 as the top priority item in all the options in the config and save.

Can you enable debug in the server log and try playback, then send me the log. It will have more detail which might help

I still need more time to solve your problem. The proposed solution to fix your issue, also breaks some main functionality of the plugin, where i'm still searching for an acceptable workaround.

I have already added the OTA lineup to "solve" the "problem". I ran through all of the lineups from the local CATV provider and it's missing from all of them. So I rang them up and it seems they are dropping it in November. Didn't get into why it isn't still being listed until then or why they don't notify the customers. I will try to remember next time to do first what I did last this time! - call the provider.

All good, I’ve been investigating a similar issue on my side and it seems to happen when I use Infuse. That’s why I asked if you used it. Hopefully Luke can point out what’s causing the issue in your case.

Um, no! Emby already doesn't use IMDB metadata at all because of the huge amount they charge for it. As for other anime people - I have a lot, and find that TVDB answers my needs better than any of the anime-specific providers have done - but that's just my experience, I guess. Paul

Seems like that would get very old in a very big hurry - having to sit through a video just to open the app... Can't you give me a specific example of why you want to put your family and friends through that?

Thanks for your response. I need to be able to browse down into that folder from my main TV because that's the only TV in the house capable of showing drone video in full resolution. I also don't want that TV to ever be signed in with admin access - so I would rather not make the change you suggest. In the meantime I have marked every video clip as watched, and I moved all photos to an unmapped folder. Now I just have to remember not to partly watch any video.

You can close this. Problem was missing permissions to read subtitle files by Emby.

Resent the logs from the day of this post, but with the current server 4.7.8.0 and client version 2.0.80g this is playing a different recording from that same channel without transcoding video and without that error. It also seeks large chunks without switching to video transcoding as it was before. Seeking takes a very long time for large chunks but I think that's to be expected with a .ts file? This was possibly fixed between 4.7.6.0 and 4.7.8.0.

The web client has been this way for quite a while. Unless you have some really odd screen size. TV Mode has scroller. But those images above have some major scaling differences. Dependent on the section you have your My Media but default Home Screen Section 1 will be this. div.homeSectionsContainer div.section0 div.scrollSlider { flex-wrap: nowrap; } But custom css only applies to the local web client not the online web client or any other client.

Sorry meant the issue with the timeout. Its not a huge issue but a configurable timeout would be nice.

IMO, any sort of filtering should be done within the filtering screen/menu. First-character, on face value seems useful for languages that use alphabetic scripts and Arabic numerals. For other writing systems, you such a filtering system would be less-than-optimal. For example, a Sinitic language system as simple as simplified chinese still has over 8000 characters! I believe Emby supports UTF-16, which itself has over 60,000 characters!

Save Time With Emby's Intro Skip Requires: Emby Server 4.7 or later In order to use the Intro Skip feature you need to edit each TV Show library and turn the feature on. Scroll down to the Markers section in the library and change the setting from NEVER to either "as a scheduled task" or "as a scheduled task and when media is added" depending on your particular needs. Once setup go to Scheduled Tasks and you'll see a new option has been added: By default this task is set to run every 24 hours. You can adjust it to run at specific time if you like. To add a new Task click the + sign above. This shows a new schedule that starts at 3 AM and is allowed to run for 4 hours. After clicking Add: We can now click the trashcan icon on the 24 hours schedule ending with: From our Scheduled Tasks menu we can manually run this job clicking the arrow icon. You will then see a status bar showing the percentage complete. There is nothing more needed on the server to use Intro Skip except to give it time to analyze all episodes and build the Intro Skip indexes. This process may take a while depending on the number of episodes you have. Client Settings Each client can be set to ignore TV Show Intros, automatically use Intros, or to prompt use showing a button. You can set this option in the client option's Playback Menu. Skip Intro Button With the Skip Intro button selected you can clearly see the button on the OSD immediately at the start of playback. The timeline is still at 0:00 before the show has started to play and we can already skip the introduction of the show. Clicking the Skip Intro button immediately jumps right to the start of the Episode. With the client option set to Automatically skip intros our TV show intros have been put on auto pilot. Gah. I keep forgetting about this setting! It's so not intuitive since this feature is an icon in the libraries view. It would be helpful to treat indiviual collections as a library (in respects to the GUI and what the user sees) rather than a unique item. I'd like to see the icon indicated in my screenshot below included in the GUI of the individual collection's screen, please.
