I would like to request a sleep timer function for the Emby app. For example, when a song is playing, it should be possible to quickly and easily set a sleep timer to shut off the song after a desired interval. Options could include 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 120 minutes. If it had this, I would be happy to purchase Premiere.2 points

1.4.1 seems to have fixed it the black screen looks fixed as well. I'll test some more tomorrow. Great work2 points

OK I just posted a 1.4.1 update to resolve that. Thanks.2 points

Und is simply an undefined track language - I'd much rather it say Und (and in doing so, flag it for the Admin to do something about it..) than incorrectly try and define it and have disappointed users when they select it to playback at a later date and find out it's an incorrect detection. Unless there is a solid way to determine it - My view is leave it alone....2 points

No, all Shields except the 2019 tube are 64bit. Though all Shields are backward compatible with the armv7 (32bit) version the more appropriate app to use is the 64bit version on everything except the tube2 points

Hi, I am still hoping for this. This would make Emby really great. Would be nice to hear what the progress is.2 points

Please allow more flexibility and/or admin control over Parental Controls & Restrict Items With Tags. in its current state only one tag can be added at a time. Perhaps by allowing separating by comma or space between tags e.g and/or allow the use of wildcards so we can add similar name Tags in one line e.g by using tagname along with "*" or "?" in lieu of adding multiple Tags for users with library restriction. Last, but not least, viable option introduced by user @seanbuff HERE is also an highly attractive one. Thank You1 point

I have not been able to find a way to make this work as I think it should. I'll use movies as an example. If I set Emby to use the library scan date, that works a decent amount of the time. When it doesn't is when I upgrade and existing movie to a higher quality. Say from DVD to BluRay. Emby sees the upgrade as new and puts the movie under recently added even though it may have been in my library for years. I understand this happens because it is technically a new file. But functionally, the movie itself is not recent to my library. I use Radarr so it updates movie qualities from time to time based on my settings. Likewise, if I use the file date, that causes other issues. For example, if I add an older movie (say Gladiator) to my library for the first time, it will most likely have an older file date and not appear in recently added even though it is indeed new to my library. I know Radarr it also has it's own settings for file creation date but the available options don't solve the issue. I guess what I am looking for is basically use scan date unless the title already existed in the library. Is there a way to achieve that functionality and get recently added to be correct?1 point

Don't know scrapers but assume html change. As it appear to be <p> not <span>. /// <summary> /// WebContent API call to get the description /// </summary> /// <param name="WebContent"></param> /// <returns></returns> public string Get_OverviewAsync(string WebContent) { return WebUtility.HtmlDecode(One_line_regex(new Regex("<span itemprop=\"description\">(?s)(.+?)</span>"), WebContent)); } But this is a community plugin for anyone that know what to do. Devs try to maintain but can't to everything.1 point

Exact same issue with new Google TV. Exact same fix works. Emby for Android TV does not work on the new devices but sideloading Emby for Android does work1 point
-
I'd rather rely on solid reporting of which media has UND audio and/or subtitles, some method of playback, and wetware + MKVToolNix header editor to fix the issue. If it's mostly subtitles and I'm feeling lazy, then perhaps letting something like Bazarr rip on my collection.1 point
-
Ok, sideloading the Emby for Android works.1 point

I would run a dir command from Windows shell when you are in each library. dir /b > folders.txt dir /b /s *.mp4, *.mkv > media_content.txt Then copy paste folder.txt into Excel or spreadsheet program in column A and copy paste media_content.txt into column B. Where the rows show a folder in column A but nothing in Column B, then that is your missing content.1 point

When I choose TV Shows -> Episodes -> Sort by Release Date -> Unplayed, the first few pages are full of Specials (making of, extras, interviews etc.) which I'm not all that interested in. It would be great if there was a filter option to exclude Season Zero/Specials from this list.1 point

As ole FrostyNickers says, just a header change no requirement to remux.1 point

i like the design so much. I would love it if you could click on the movie/series to watch. It has happened to me twice, and will be a few times more, that I thought to myself "oh right, I wanted to see it :-)" and then I had to look for the film first, like in the old days.1 point
-
Ahh ok...so it is possible this option (#1.) was "on" during my first tries....1 point
-
Lol, now you confuse me;) Sure i have enabled the option to tell emby to prefer embedded title over filenames, cause the mediainfo plugin set this option to "on" on library base. From wiki: 9. Getting the titles to Display in Emby UI Clients If MediaInfo Plugin global Enabled is set to on. The below setting is automatically set to ON (To mainly help simplify the input requirement from the user). At least emby-server 4.8.0.7 beta has shown the segment title (in your example "Top Gun: Maverik (2002) [2160p]" instead of the videotrack metadata "UHD DV8..." Not sure about 4.8.0.8, but 4.8.0.9 will show the wanted embedded videotrack data. In the past im not really cared about this, because Kodi dont use this information. Just in my first testruns with emby (instead of using a SQL database) and your great plugin i saw most files show the wanted video information, but some the original filename like "Top.Gun.Maverik.2022.German.DL.1080p.AMZN.H264-ZeroTwo.mkv". Finaly i did a "reset embedded title" run to clear this field on all of my files... Shown this in 4.8.0.7 was the reason for the feature request to reset the title information...4.8.0.9 will not show this anymore, so my feature request ist almost obsolete, it would be just a QoL improvement or a playground for much more feature in the toolbox like rjbtech said:) But maybe my bad english causes we talked past each other;) I really i appreciate your (and all other involed people's!) work on this addon! Yes. Starting with the basics you can make sure that Transcoding Throttling is enabled. For the next one you might have to install the Diagnostics Plugin. Then under Advanced Transcoding change Throttling Method to "by Streambuffer Size". This takes care of known issues with streaming to Chromecast. After the above you still want to get HW accel working for your Intel iGPU. The 9th gen is definitely the preferred and easier way to handle transcoding.1 point

@rbjtech maybe you can confirm or dispute this.... But as I believe it, this is intentional and has always been the case. The introStart and introEnd were designed for TV episodes to find the TitleMusic for the Series/Season/Episode. So After the Intro Ends it is assumed that we need to move the next chapter point to the end of the Intro end. What you would need to do is set your end time for the intro to 05:31, because you are saying that there is a 5min 31second clip of music or Title sequence, which i don't believe. you have a 31 second Actual intro and then a load of chat before the first quarter starts so you would need to have another chapter point in there with the title of "Pre-Game Chat" or something like that. Here is why we don't want to be displaying intro End chapter points because they are irrelevant and the next chapter should start when the intro ends And this even works with correctly named chapter points - Note: the below example uses the old Intro Start Text of "Title Sequence" but it moves the chapter marker to the to the Intro End Marker1 point

What spec is the laptop, like which i7 CPU? If new enough it would be better to use the Intel iGPU than the nvidia GPU. There are additional steps needed for HW accel in Docker, which you seem to have done for nvidia support. Did you do the same for Intel? Moving the Emby data (done?) AND the transcoding temp paths to the internal NVME drive should be your first steps.1 point

I too would like to see this natively in the Emby apps. However, for Android users, I can highly recommend the following app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.smarquis.sleeptimer Cheers1 point

I have my files in the right place, and the correct versions. I'm looking at the log and first off I see "Reset Embedded Titles = False", but I set "Refresh All Items" to true so it would do my entire collection. I see it working, looks like it's taking 1000-1400ms per file. If it does all movies and shows that's about 37k files. Should take 10-12hrs. Looks like Captain America, The Winter Soldier has some issues with the audio. 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: AUDIO INFO 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: Track Format = DTS 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: No of Channels = 6 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: Track Index = 2 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: Track Additional Features = XLL 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: ********************* 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: Adding Audio Tags 2022-09-28 00:32:29.113 Debug Media Info: Adding Audio Tag DTS-HD MA to Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2022-09-28 00:32:29.239 Info Server: http/1.1 POST http://emby_remote_ip:8096/emby/Sessions/Playing/Progress?X-Emby-Client=Emby Web&X-Emby-Device-Name=Chrome Windows&X-Emby-Device-Id=798c13ed-9a73-4b87-836d-850b1a37c27a&X-Emby-Client-Version=4.7.6.0&reqformat=json. Yes, this would be useful. The only workaround I've found is to create separate accounts that are restricted to certain libraries, so I have my TV logged into an account with access to only video libraries and I alternate between the video-only and audio-only account on my phone. I have a large audio collection (250,000+ songs) and having a single user with access to both libraries makes things like searching very slow. And while we're on the topic of searching, here's a shameless plug for my search improvements feature request: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/101211-search-improvements-music/ Namely, the ability to search for artist AND title in the same search, like one can do with most other audio streamers (e.g., Subsonic and it's clones, Ampache, Navidrome, etc.) as well as streaming services (e.g., Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, etc.).1 point

All Premiere apps whether unlock or Premiere key validate and is cached I believe for x days. Don't know the exact amount of time it is cached but Server and Client have independent validations. You always have a browser that is Free for all non-Premiere features.1 point

No idea. With regards to media acceleration, AMD is currently of little relevance for applications like Emby. This is my recent message to them: https://github.com/GPUOpen-LibrariesAndSDKs/AMF/issues/348#issuecomment-12399228561 point

Can you guys create a plugin which display the contents and rating on start of each episode? Netflix, Disney and Amazon has such overlay. It shows if the running episode include violence, flashing lights, rude speech and it shows the age rating.1 point

any update on this? based on Admin response this isnt really a FR but more of a UI update that's been overlooked or ignored for the last 10 beta updates Thanks1 point

My suggestion, was that even the Filters page offers a better stop-gap solution that already exists ... a drop down box filled with all your tags that you can multi-select from The FR is simply asking for more flexibility on the parental controls page when it comes to adding tags1 point

+1 to this. Would like to see it implemented. Strictly from the aspect of "health concerns". Would be nice if when playing a movie it was able to show the same warnings that the rating has.1 point

I think you're missing the evolution of this thread. I'm not complaining. I posted simply asking if there was a way to achieve something. You posted a work around and I replied why it wouldn't work well in my scenario. I realize I have to make a choice based on the available options, but expressing the desire for different options is how we sometimes get change. The only real question I still have is that if a new file name doesn't seem to change the watched status, then why isn't other data retained too? At least optionally.1 point

Hi. You kind already said it. There are literally hundreds of "good" ideas. We're sorry but they cannot all be first and some of them, for various reasons, may take a long time and even never make it into the product. We have to weigh all of the requests against many factors and choose things we think make the most impact for the most users. Thanks for your support.1 point
-
In the end you are still logging in and playing media on an account with full access. ebr's "play to" option is more realistic for the scenario.1 point
