It was not enable, I just enable that temp for you all, this not a completed theme at all, this my testing. The theme design now by @softworkz and when he is done, we will use his design for our community for dark theme.5 points

I know you REALLY want people to love and use the standard app, but please please please keep supporting the ATV version until you are ready to replace it, officially, like in the play store. Most of my users would start swearing / sweating if I told them to "sideload" something. ("Sideload THIS!" is what they might would definitely say.)3 points

Our standard android app now has an option to control this in version 3.2.72+: https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html3 points

Actually, when it happens every page just has a black background afterward. Even the gray background in the Dark Theme is just black everywhere.2 points

Yea we understand that sideloading is not convenient. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.2 points

May not be tested, but both comskipper and Intro Skip work fine for me on my 2 Roku devices. (Not Roku TVs but discreet Roku devices.)2 points

Since we can now detect end credits, or manually add them in other cases, it would be nice to see this, rather than an automatic percentage/time remaining, trigger the "next episode" popup and decide whether an episode is resumable or not. Even better if it could expand to movies for the latter point.1 point

Are we talking about syncing playback between users (devices) on one server, or is it more about attempting to sync playback across multiple servers. I can think of a way to sync playback across multiple devices connected to one server. But, I'm not entirely sure about syncing playback across different servers, that might need a 3rd party app, and hosting... Maybe? Inside one server, where users are on different devices, the playback sync might be easy enough... Not perfectly sync'd, but probabaly within the second... Perhaps millisecond depending on the connection speed, and location. I thought there was an app being developed which did this sort of thing, but I'm not sure what came of it. Sounds like it could be set up as follows, for a one server setup: 1. Users login (create a session) 2. One user is set to the controlling user 3. The controlling session user is responsible for beginning playback. 4. Probabaly some kind of config page off the server dashboard to setup a group to control everything... I guess... to start. 5. When the controlling session starts playback, we grab the event, and send the same command to the other device sessions in the group. 6. Maybe some kind of playstate pause command to sync everything up close (close enough) to each other. Like I say, that could be the easy part. Maybe... Across multiple server, this would need an authentication to setup, and login, sending server IDs around to attempt controlling. Might be too much for me to write. But the one server setup could be done.1 point

It is recommended that when playing media, long press on a certain area of the screen or the entire screen area to trigger 2.0X speed or 3.0X speed, and release the finger to return to 1.0X speed1 point

It's on my todo list, also please hold on. I had no time for review yet. Artwork review and skin tests takes a lot of time and this is currently prio one.1 point

Got the same problem right a few minutes before. It was season Finale and I watched the Episode till the end, then pressed back for switching back to the Series, like you said, everything stays black until I restarted the App. Maybe switching back to 1.3.61 point

I'll post here if it happens but we are talking year(s)1 point

I saw this when watching the last episode of Shetland last night. Went ahead and clicked it and think it dumped me out to the Season page, or something like that.1 point

Please try the 1.3.7 update that just went up and let us know how that compares. Thanks.1 point

Not sure if it matters having TMDB as secondary provider. I have no idea what this means. If you write nfo files it must contain <set> in each movie metadata. <set tmdbcolid="635922"> <name>47 Meters Down Collection</name> </set> That point to missing metadata, but something must be going wrong if Refreshing the Library does not correct the issue. May need to see the server log after a library refresh then.1 point

Not a major issue but do to it being a channel, you will get duplicate results in Search as these create their own itemids. One issue I have found is if delete media the item still remains in the Kids Channel. @chef1 point

Try sideloading the standard Android app for that device and see how that goes https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html1 point

Hi, thank you for your reply and follow up, I think the sliding adjustment is a good feature1 point

Wow, Latest Releases on home screen still isn't a thing in v4.7.6? I don't understand what the resistance is to such a basic and useful sort. @chef Your plugin sounds more like a spotlight feature than a latest/newest releases feature. But I'm looking forward to checking it out. Thanks for your efforts.1 point

There it goes. Switched internet providers (and routers recently) Server had the old manual IP information still. I'm a bonehead, but thank you for giving me a hint1 point

I will be 100% honest I was just trying to be even more lazy than I already am, now that I understand how the skip intro work it makes perfect sense. Now to play devils advocate, you ask why go through all the trouble to avoid 30 seconds of whatever, but that was exactly what adding the skip intro feature was created for, to skip 30 seconds? Lastly I think editing the files is not the greatest idea, it would be fix to the problem but then again you are ruining the original file integrity, and if that was the case you could just then edit out the intro as well and it would take forever. I do like the idea of a community based database that emby could reference, I mean its not too far off from tvdb being a scraper to provide metadata, or using opensubs to grab subtitles, it seems like a group or service out there that has a finerprint of an episode would not be as crazy of an idea as one would think. with all that said I am super happy with the skip intro function and love it, I did not mean for it to become a huge discussion with my question and I think as far as everything goes on my end my question has been answered extremely well, at the end of the day I was more curious how it worked to see if it was something that could expanded on, now that I know it uses the audio stream which is genius I see how and why it cant work.1 point

The xml file would have to be embedded and the project would need to be rebuilt for every change change wouldn't it.. Like where is this meta coming from? The use case of what you want to do is a bit vague and youre learning which I guess is fine, but like some of this could probably be done way easier with just the base REST APIs and a little scripting and you run it every so often, rather than building some monolithic meta agent that no one else will ever use. The Emby plugin stuff isn't an easy learn and very convoluted and doesn't always have the best way of doing things. A normal meta agent would be calling some REST API to pull the data, and then just looping the meta items that it can associate via IMDB/TVDB etc with the information it has. So part of the checks would be, how does the agent know find referenced items, then create a method that does that, then do the next step, okay now that I can return whatever it needs for step 1, and just use fake data being returned for whatever media item youre trying to match. Like youre going down some wild paths here doing things in very odd orders when you dont even have the basic principal flow done yet, who cares how you get the data when Im not even sure you know what data you need to find/return. I would never have one my my JR Engs design/build an Emby plugin as a learning project, they would be like WTF is this.1 point

I've got everything working fine now. After replacing the SSD Cache drive, I found that I had to do a partial restore, instead of a complete restore of the configuration. Something was dragging down all of the resources in the server. So after several attempts of clearing the SSD cache (reformatting) and restoring the configuration, I decided to just restore all of the media library information and the user accounts and nothing else. I also changed the server name and had to add email addresses to each of the users (24) so that Emby would add them to the server. Then notified the users to use the new server name, and log in again. Things are running smoothly now. Great performance is back.1 point

I'm not sure if this works with the core Intro Skip capabilities (I still cling to the plugin), but for shows that have the intro immediately after the recap, you can bring up the timeline and skip to the chapter immediately after the intro. I'd love to see support for other tag types like recaps and post-credit scenes (ideally multiples of the latter, since some entities just roll that way!)...that would lay the ground work for leveraging tools and services such as what @TeamB provides. I doubt you'll ever have a robust algorithmic solution to recaps, but post-credit scenes may work (for those folks working on the "credits" plugin). Regards!1 point

We just finished watching The Bear. It is fantastic, and super short (there are 8, 30 minute episodes). There is an episode which - apart from the very beginning - is done in a single take, it's chaotic and stressful. I will add that this is the only show which my wife has ever commented on swearing - it's pretty unrelenting at times - so if you have little ones and you're concerned about expanding their vocabulary, save this for when they're asleep.1 point

Cayars, I know you just wanna help and this even might help some of us but this request is 5(!) years old and still nothing. A new standard is already on the way (AV1) and still nothing. Imagine those that need to transcode their cable or satellite TV source when on mobile data away from home, those cannot pre-convert stuff like you suggested. I appreciate your effort but as you wrote that is not what the majority of us wants to hear. Thanks anyways! PS: Nice to see you around, seemed like were a bit more absent lately.1 point
