  1. There is absolutely no point to it. You can have 130votes and it never gets implemented, you can have 6 votes for something else and it does get implemented, because it’s actually easy or just a bug. the vote system sucks, the answer is always ”possible in future updates” Some of these requests stem back to 2015 and the duplicate sticker just highlights how long these requests have been in the system for. move to a transparent way of communication as to what is being worked on and hopefully reasons behind it. for example… ditching guid calls to improve library performance… required for WMC but not anymore you can maybe take on important stuff from the community that will enhance something that is already in the workflow. 2 pence worth from the idiot on the hill

  3. what's really annoying is that emby has written the code to overcome this. it was in the closed tv beta released a couple of years ago but, for some reason still not clear, most of it has not been released yet

  4. Yep looks like another FireFox defect will look and see if I see anything but works fine on Edge/Chrome.

  5. Which doesn't answer my question, things can change pretty quick, often unexpected. What you are saying is like "I don't make backups, because I have no plan to loose any data". What will happen, when the servers are gone? How long does it work without the servers? As playing on some/most/all apps require Premiere feature, Emby would soon get unuasable, right? Ciao, Alfred

  6. VAAPI should be good now on 12th gen. QuickSync support is currently being worked on.

  7. Did you allow live tv access in your user profile?

  8. i thought we wanted to find the latest version where it worked, so i think a 2 year old version doesn't help us here.

  9. There's one out there from 2 years ago if you want to test that. It has a warning, but it was compiled before Samsung started disabling the app.

  10. The server I use is a headless PC, but I plugged a virtual HDMI output in it. Once I get the log, I will post it here. Thanks for all your help.

  11. No, the Android TV app doesn't have gapless music playback. The standard Android app does which should run on the same device.

  12. Not if you combine that with the item limit option.

  13. So with a lack of input except for the like and the heart I've submitted a PR on github to get the plug ins changed to a Emby Stable and a Emby Beta plug-ins with both using VNET and getting their own IPs. (as this is how I run my server and will be easier to troubleshoot) Given the lag time on getting PRs accepted by the TrueNAS repo you all still have days or even weeks to weigh in on the change!

  14. Hi. I don't feel their situation has much bearing on this request as we do not have a central repository of all Emby users like the other guys. YOU control your users. Any 2FA to your own server instance would only serve to protect those users on your server. We do have optional Emby Connect but that is completely optional and easily managed by you. Now, this request is still valid but the exposure for our system is nothing like it is for theirs.

  15. I have two questions related to the config: 1) It says: "Click the - to delete the names of the themes you would like the plugin to download again.Click the + and enter the name of the item as displayed in MBS to prevent future downloads of that theme." --> However I cannot see a -/+ icon, only the trashcan. 2) I don't get it what this "New Theme Song Filter" is all about. I entered a movie name but nothing happened. Thanks.

  16. If the purpose is to just convert them 'as is' but into a MKV container - then yes something like makemkv is perfect for this and because you are not re-encoding anything, it is very fast. If the idea is to convert them (I assume from DVD/MPEG2 being VOB) to a more efficient codec such as h264/h265 for storage and playback (non-transcoding) reasons - then yes it will take a long time to do them all but being standard definition, conversion per DVD should not take that long. There are plenty of free 'batch' tools out there that do this - I'm personally a fan of RipBot264 as it allows distributed encoding (ie you can enroll multiple PC's to help with the conversions). Or use the convert feature in Emby of course - but I have never used this.
