Hi everyone, after a long time I created another beta version. I'm getting the project up to speed again. I have refactored a lot of code (backend and frontend) and the sync time should be a lot lower. Also, very basic user statistics (table) is added to this release. You can find the release here: Release v0.2.0-beta.30 · mregni/EmbyStat (github.com) Changes: Refactored the whole job code Incremental jobs supported for Movies and Shows Moved back to Sqlite as database Updated Nuget packages Added very basic user page Moved to different chart library UI loading improved Translation base file cleanup Updated to NET6.0 Missing episode list added (+export to CSV) Movie and Show table with filters Let me know if you like it or find any bugs.2 points

As a quick test, you can Edit Metadata on Louis CK special, delete TMDBId, lock that item and Save, see how does that compare, do they still get favorited both?2 points

I have good news: To play recordings correctly I had to: Settings>LiveTV>Enable Direct Play Live TV and to play recordings correctly I had to: Settings>Playback Settings>Allow direct playing of TS files That means: problem solved. Thanks anyway!2 points

Currently only Emby Theater for Windows and Linux support it via launching external players, but over time we'll support it on more platforms.2 points

I can help you with this. Should be a scheduled task that runs periodically or if a new item is added after the main library scan has been completed. json is the multi platform goto now and emby has a built in serialiser/deserialiser you can use to convert your text files to objects/ classes and then populate the chapters based on your files. all the info needed by emby is name(title), startpositionruntimeticks, markertype. Then after this has been posted is you run imageextraction task to get the the thumbs.1 point

You’re a star fella. That’s perfect I’ll get the changes implemented and me and Rich can test as were both on 38. hey hang in there fella, keep your chin up and get some sleep. Hope you can get back to some normality soon bro!1 point

In progress fella only started it a few hours ago.1 point

Hi. You are trying to play in a browser. That is probably the most limited audio and video format support so, with this specific example, yes, a transcode was needed.1 point

Emby shows 23.976/24p correctly on my OLED LG TV and other LCD LG TVs (2016 models through to 2021) and switches back to PAL 50hz as well. So the player software or TV itself does switch to match frame rate as I would notice instantly, Emby may not need to do it because of that...1 point

IMO, yes. You are trying to transcode a 60Mb/s file but it may actually be I/O that is the bottleneck. The device is not designed as a server. In any case, you are only getting about 5 fps on the transcode.1 point

Yes, if admin doesn't do the trick then you can configure WinSCP to use superuser1 point

The old method of having a smaller thumbnail next to the tile was far better. Could we have an option to change between the two or revert?1 point

Sorry I didnt thought it was misworded I thought by "not dealing with devs" you meant not need to log into another login service(like we have to with plex) to access my own media. English is not my first language so I have some limitations.1 point
-
That's going to be the only way to actually have a Skip Intro button though, right? It won't use the timings from the plugin? This whole thing is turning into a mess. I have no idea why the devs went off and wrote their own thing instead of just writing the code for a button.1 point

Your external address will be different now, so you will need to change your DNS (or simply the connection details if you use the IP address), and also set up the port forwarding in your new router. https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001849007-connectivity#:~:text=In-Network Connections, manually entering the server's address. @Happy2Play @Abobader That's something I am not directly involved in but I believe anyone can contribute: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/website Looks like there was a pull request from last year for the same thing that never got merged.1 point

Because shows don't always start/finish on time?1 point

Confirmed that does the trick - only The Big Bang Theory is favorited now.1 point

Hmmmm, not sure does it depend on preferred scraper order, @Luke will have to revert on that one.1 point

When you say it's completely hidden, do you mean it's actually impossible to access it? If so, why on earth is it in the release and why has this plug in been removed due to conflicts with it?1 point

couldn't sign in this evening. The LAN address was missing from the dashboard. I force quit Emby Server and restarted. Then signed in again. Weird1 point

In most of the stores having a native splash screen is mandatory, but yes that one needs to be changed to just the black background.1 point

Album is different from album artist, but all tracks in the album should have the same values for those two fields.1 point

I would think it would be worse threw a service. But the odds of sustained throughput with a bitrate that high is going to be pretty slime across the internet. This is one reason no online provider provides streams that high. Just like I have an online server that has a gigabit connection and a home connection that has a download of 200Mbps but will not get higher then about 55Mbps downloading from that online server.1 point

Correct as it comes from embedded track tag, so even if you could change it a track refresh would override it. There currently is no way for nfo or database only metadata to override this behavior.1 point

Welcome, glad it works. Next version I'll clean the related code a bit, so please keep an eye on that. Currently the fixes are distributed on several spots in the sources. This is very inconvenient for development, fixing the same bugs in multiple modules.1 point

7.0.1-build 99 tested. Resetted watch state manually played/pause a movie and an episode, restarted Kodi and for now all seems to be working like it should. Will have a look at it further but I'm thinking it is fixed now. Thank you again @quickmic for the fast compiling of new builds.1 point

It's done. Native long-path support has been added to Emby-ffmpeg. Unlike with the quoted patchset above: it is not limited to newer Windows versions it doesn't require any registry changes it doesn't require UAC elevation to install (because no OS-level changes are required) It won't be included in the 4.7.0 release (not enough time) but it will hit the beta channel shortly after the release.1 point

As much as I love the integrated music artist pages, the problem is there is no way of separating the audio tracks and video tracks of a particular artist. Example: You have 50 Beatles songs in just audio and 10 videos. You can only play or shuffle all 60 files together, there is no option to just play/shuffle the videos on their own or the audio on their own. A quick drop down list of Play All > Play All Audio > Play All Video / Shuffle All > Shuffle All Audio > Shuffle all Video would be great. I know I could make playlists but when you have a library of over 1500 artists then it becomes very tiresome to do that. Sometimes I just want a quick shuffle of one particular artist's videos. A quick "Shuffle All Videos" option would be lovely. .1 point

Also, if you are dead set on continuing with WMC a part of your Emby experience, I suggest you stay on Emby Server 4.6 as it has now become very difficult for us to maintain EMC and future server versions could very well create compatibility issues. Instead, I would really advise looking into moving to Emby Theater or one of the now very mature streaming platforms (Android, Amazon, etc.). Thanks.1 point
