Been a little busy, but I'm going to get to this. It is a nice refreshing look other than the usual Plex which took me months to iron out all the bugs. Seeing a somewhat competitive program made me smile and donated the $119 for lifetime for continued support. I'll be back!3 points

If testing goes well, there will be an option for fixed scrolling with wrap in the next release. The caveat is performance and/or any other big problems we find with it in testing. Stay tuned.2 points

I would like to request a sleep timer function for the Emby app. For example, when a song is playing, it should be possible to quickly and easily set a sleep timer to shut off the song after a desired interval. Options could include 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 120 minutes. If it had this, I would be happy to purchase Premiere.1 point

Plex has it built in that you can have it setup to use SSL without having to create and install your own certificates. They teamed up with Let's Encypt. Any chance you would make that an option on Emby. Even if it was just for those that pay for Emby Premier.1 point

The Diagnostics Plugin has been updated (for Emby Server versions >= 4.7.0.32) Most prominent changes can be seen in the "User Sessions" view. Improved rendering and width adaption Better theme support/coloring Filters are presented in separate lanes (rows), depending on context Filter boxes are clickable to display details CPU graph width adaption many more details pipeline_video.mp41 point

Can you please let me know how I directly play uncompressed "wav" files without transcoding? I tried playing some FLAC files (music) at 96 kHz and also some FLAC files at 192 kHz and emby plays them directly, perfectly. I tried playing a 96 kHz WAV file and emby automatically transcodes the file to AAC. There is a message that states the reason for this is "Codec not supported". WAV files are very common and I don't want to transcode to AAC. I want to hear the files with their original, high resolution. I am running an emby server on Mac OS. I am using Google Chrome to control emby on the Mac that is running the emby server. The media I am accessing is stored on a Synology NAS DS418. Emby states that the codec of the wav files being played is "PCM_S24LE". I appreciate suggestions on how to handle this. I was not able to find an option to change this or more information in my searches. Thanks.1 point

Switching the preferred decoder over to QuickSync native looks like it did the trick. The ffmpeg process is down to around 3% now, which is in line with what I see under Plex. I'd still be curious if they have suggestions on what preference and why. I suppose the defaults imply a preference, personally I prefer using the native API myself, but I can see where they'd prefer using DirectX to get wider support. Thanks!1 point

Bro, you're so smart. That issue I was working through the past few days with my duplicate fanart, I must have inadvertently disabled TheMovieDb fetcher in collections. Re-enabling that fixed this issue. Thanks, buddy.1 point

I think the jist of my post was lost on some. If you use Cloudflare as your proxy/WAF/DDoS protection service it means you trust them with your data. That is fine, it's what they do. But understand that your data is not encrypted to Cloudflare. It's encrypted BETWEEN you and CF and BETWEEN CF and your clients. They've been cracking down on media streaming over free accounts per Section 2.8 of their ToS. So if you're concerned about bans keep in mind you are not hiding anything from them.1 point

Yes you set a rule to tell them not to cache anything with a specific starting URL which is how all video get displayed/sent. It's a shame it's so hard to try and build a docker setup that would have the tunnel mostly pre-setup. That would make setup with a tunnel a lot easier! As you found out, the process isn't hard to do once you understand what to do. Figuring out what to do is the "hard part" but getting easier with more and more documentation.1 point

Just a wild guess here, but do you need to prepend 'http/s' to your url before passing it to the ApiClient as a constructor parameter?1 point

For some reason when I checked my scheduled recordings today, they were presented as a vertical list sorted by date & time, whereas in the past they were grouped into rows, one for each day. Definitely preferred the old presentation. Is there a way to return to that?1 point

My scale-of-ease was rated against an "easy button" in Emby that does all of this automagically. For Windows-based users, going down the road of embedded devices that handle reverse-proxy (which still leaves Emby with self-signed certs on its secured port) is harder...even if that embedded device is a NAS such as Synology or QNAP.1 point

Would be nice if they made a drop-down menu available to change the view according to one's preference.1 point

It doesn't just "happen" - it's a deliberate re-design which is not (it seems to me) going down well with a lot of people, including me! Paul1 point

Yes, everything is working fine again - thank you for the support!1 point

Are you all set now @Fretawekakoep? Changing the port for 8086 to 8096 as well as disabling the wifi adapter should be all you need to do assuming everything else is set correctly. You can uninstall the port mapping plugin as well since you are using manual port forwarding (best method). If you're still having any issues let us know, Carlo1 point

I would think being an 11th Gen Tiger Lake CPU - it's got an 11th Gen iGPU in it (probably a 610/620/630) - it's probably downclocked a bit but for decode/encode/transcoding work - that is largely irrelevant. Intel Core i31115G4 Processor 6M Cache up to 4.10 GHz Product Specifications As @mastrmind11 says - the best thing is to try it and see - just remember to use the latest intel drivers and the latest emby beta.1 point

Hi. Yes, we would like to provide this but it is much harder for us to do. The other guys control your connection to your server. We do not.1 point

Looks like you can probably do 5-6 simultaneous transcodes with the CPU of your 1080p stuff, not sure about the 4k https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-1115G4+%40+3.00GHz&id=3877. The RAM is probably fine as is, esp if you turn on GPU transcoding. Just try it out and see.1 point

And the magic begins.... very simple Package example subscribing to playback start, playback ended, demonstrating context data, and sending it off to Telegram to show on my phone. And it's really that easy. Please use this package zip file instead of the one in the above post, because this has the two event subscription examples in it. I know that situation, even though I haven't digitized most of the vinyl Sometimes, I wonder though, who has fed so many test presses and white labels into Shazam..1 point

@softworkz yes, I have disabled all online sources for music as well for my collection. As I have fully tagged files, with standardized set of tags, I really don’t need any online sources. Also, from the past experience, I already know that sofwtare may identify about 1/4 of my library items completely wrong as I have pretty rare items in my library, from the days when I worked as DJ. And don’t get me wrong, I don’t doubt in the quality of your work1 point

The images are extracted from the audio files, not retrieved online (each time, re-created new audio library with default settings) To be sure that the results are valid, I even tested this in reverse order, i.e. after it was all well, I reverted the code changes and removed+readded it as a library. The "BEFORE" image was actually created at a later time (it's still the before-change state)1 point

Hello, So something I'm getting a lot of feedback from people that would make Emby more useable. When searching by Person in Emby, there is a lot of "Noise" in the Episodes section. People who are credited for the entire Series are often individually tagged for every single episode which makes it hard to find the genuinely interesting cameo style appearances that the "Episodes" view is very useful for. The feedback is to remove individual episodes if the person is credited for the whole Series. Let's look at a real world example that looks correct, Jerry Seinfeld. When I view his Actor page I can see Movies / TV Series / Individual Credits in Episodes When I click on just Episodes: It's awesome, I can see Jerry Seinfeld on Late night talk shows, Hosting SNL and Guest Appearances in other shows like Louie and Mystery Science Theater. This is exactly what I would expect. I pick a different actor Dan Harmon and view Episodes; Every episode of Harmontown, HarmonQuest and Rick & Morty come up. So I never can see his Cameos as there are pages and pages of just episodes. Dan Harmon is already credited at the Television Show level for Harmontown, HarmonQuest and Rick and Morty. So my suggestion is to exclude from the Person view the episodes if the person is already credited at the Television Series level to make this screen more useful. Thanks1 point

Hi guys! Just maded something easier for everyone if it happens another time! The Downloader app by Elias Saba from AFTVnews had is own short URL & download codes you can generate. Here's one for Emby: 65418 or aftv.news/65418 Just enter the numerical code in the AFTVnews address bar & there you go! You can easily direct install Emby on your Android TV (Google TV) devices. Hope it helps! The direct link I used is from the official GitHub repo of Emby, here's a proof :1 point

If I replace the entire series, this issue occurs. I use Tiny Media Manager to manage my metadata. So when I replace a show, I usually copy the new files to a different folder and then copy and paste all of the series metadata from the old folder to the new one. I then use TMM to update the series and rewrite the .NFO files and select any new artwork. Emby would then show the updated show with all the corresponding metadata and images as expected. Emby NextGen does this for my movies but seems to have a problem when an entire TV series is replaced. Kodi is usually off when this is happening as I have 3 setups that I use. However, even when Kodi is on, it just adds the new series episodes to the old instance of the show and also keeps the old episodes.1 point

Not sure when my test system corrected itself. This assumes you are stable 4.6.7.0. Will not work on beta 4.7 as Emby changes to v4 api and receives json files instead of xml. Currently old version of plugin will be needed to use old method on 4.7 beta server. You will need to have debug logging enabled to see plugin reading cached data. 2022-04-21 16:12:26.921 Debug Statistics: 75332 2022-04-21 16:12:26.923 Debug Statistics: C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Stable\programdata\cache\tvdb\75332\en.xml 2022-04-21 16:12:27.019 Debug Statistics: 4395 2022-04-21 16:12:27.019 Debug Statistics: 43951 point

I noticed this a few weeks ago on my Roku, and have been looking for how to fix it or suggest it to be returned to how it was. After I finish a movie, I like to look at what else the director has done, so I press down, left, select. Suddenly that doesn't work anymore. I have to now press down, hold right for up to a minute or press it 80+ times depending on the movie, then press select. Thanks to this thread I now understand why it was done, and also learned RR and FF provides some relief, but I have two ideas. 1. A director, IMO, is a very important part of a film. Wouldn't it make more sense for the director to be at the beginning of the cast and crew list, rather than at the end with the extras. Can that be implemented or made an option? 2. Make the director's name listed under the movie's title a selectable item, as it is in the webapp.1 point

Not had much time to play but here is the new modern layout. Spotlight - chooses a random recently added item then a series of scrollers will go underneath for Recently Added Continue Watching Top Rated (this will be items over a certain community rating) Favourties Boxsets Now Playing - this will be whats showing in Cinemas/Digital Streaming Services (taken from TMDB) iHome Flat Coverflow View Coverflow View And you've seen the full details screen. Anyways... Hope you like it1 point

Thanks Sammy, Yeah I need to get these fixes done. But this will give you an idea of Vantage Point can offer @JeremyG you could use the studio and genre cleaner plugins that would consolidate multiple studios into one. The same with Genres. These studios for example could be consolidated, DC Entertainment could be part of DC Comics. in the plugin just map a studio/genre to another1 point
