What do you call this row at the bottom of the player? I'll call it the cmd strip. I'd like the cursor movement to continue rolling left (from the left-most control) to the right end so I can get to those cmds (especially Settings) faster. So if I am at the reverse button, I can click left on my Shield remote and be able to quickly get to the right end of the strip/menu. I hate having to go down, right, right, right... to get to those far-right cmds. This is especially painful when trying to debug.

Ok, I've successfully installed the new version. I had to connect the TV to the Internet as suggested. It seems that I need to activate internet only for the installation process. Thank you all to helped me out solving this. P.S. How can i mark this as solved?

Well, I will try it in a few hours. But if so I would not understand why the older version is fine to install but the new one gives me this error. I will let you know as soon as I'm back home. Thanks

Any details as to why it was pulled?

Tried to search for this feature request but couldn't find it. It would be very good to be able to sort and filter the content of collections. I have some collections with a lot of movies (1001 movies you have to see before you die, Criterion collection, etc). As of today you can sort and filter the collections themselves but you can't sort and filter the content. So if I want to find an unseen movie from my 1001 collection I will have to scroll through a lot of movies. In the collection view you also separate categories (movies, tv, ...) and it would be great to be able to choose to not separate them also.

When I click shuffle in a home videos and photos library I would like the videos to be auto played. Currently the video shows with a clickable button so therefore requires human input.

I thought it might. So at least you have a work around with your chosen conversion program. It's not unusual to find a specific codec that some program gets incorrect when not relying on ffmpeg. A lot of conversion programs are wrappers around ffmpeg which makes is more of a known entity (good or bad). The scripts I use all revolve around using ffmpeg and Nvidia GPU for conversions.

Completely agree. This is one of the big things I miss from Plex. Unfortunately not all used agree so it seems it would need to be an option. I'd rather have them auto play by default though.

Converting a file using AAC instead of AC3 does fix the stuttering issue on the shield.

Server is 4.6.7.0, the latest. I switched to a different treatment for now. I like the MetroCase though. Too bad it's broken. I actually thought this was intentional to show that the quality was lower than HD. Glad it's a bug, at least bugs get fixed.

Good to hear, yeah the boxes are to EXCLUDE as it says also good to hear it works on the beta I only tested it on the current stable 4.6. something. I tried to put some decent logging in to help at least show what's going on. Its possible something like a roku or firestick could report back different data or not honor the "stop" request I send but I dont have those to test with so I keep my fingers crossed it works.

@draddy I finally had some time today to have a look at this. It looks like I switch to a new way of extracting item details from the Emby API a while back but forgot to update the code path for when you play groups of items. I have fixed this now so if you select play all it should use the same code to populate the the items as if you played them individually. This is release as Beta for Matrix at the moment only, so make sure you are using the beta repo, the version you are looking for is v1.10.20

After setting up everything when you do a library scan it actually pulls in all the pictures automatically now. I.e the disc image, thumb, and so on are all automatically pulled in with a library scan since it has all been set up. Just in case someone didn't know this information and was looking for it.

I think we do a pretty good job of keeping our technology stack up to date. We're running pretty much the latest of everything that we use. We're on .NET 6.0, ffmpeg 5.0. On android we use the best available embeddable media player and when there's a limitation with it we go into it ourselves without waiting for the developers to do it for us. We have a new Windows app coming soon that does this as well. The JavaScript that runs in the browser is developed using modern techniques and is converted ahead of time to a format that will run on a broad range of devices, both new and old. However the gap between new and old has gotten large enough that soon after the 4.7 release we're going to start shipping multiple versions of JavaScript so that newer browsers can run the modern JavaScript directly, and older browsers can run one of the converted versions.

Just adding on this. I got a lifetime MB3 / Emby subscription directly from Eric @ebr some 8 to 10 years ago for a $10 donation which has a grandfathered unlimited devices.. That's right $10! At any rate, I rode on that for a few years but seeing how this has significant value to my and my family's lives I now subscribe for $4.99 a month to support their efforts. even though I don't have to.

Reason 3 was that being open source was gaining us nothing as we got no significant contributions from anyone outside our team. All it was doing was giving away all of our hard work for free and we simply couldn't continue to do that and also be able to continue to build and support the system the way we want to.

Deleting Playlist does not/should not delete media. What exact steps did you take?

Lol, that's crazy I've had emby for like 10 years almost and I've always thought the library scan pulled everything in. Well after all night long of it running the refresh Metadata on everything it pulled everything in. Thank you for all your help everybody it didn't pull in some quite a few actually idk why but it's Allright.
