I wanted a colorful, but minimalist set of Library and Genre icons for when I'm using Emby on Roku, and something that stood out dramatically from the movie posters and thumbs. Here's what I did for the My Media set. Here's my Movie Genres: And the Series Genres RAR file attached with the full set as PNGs, and there is some in the archive not shown above (like Sports and Adult). Enjoy! -Mickey EmbyIcons_v4.rar1 point

I have a TV show with over 500 episodes. To watch the latest episode on ATV, I have to go to the latest episode with a button on the remote control for a long time. I want the ability to sort the latest episodes first in the list.1 point

Hello I am not sure where this should go or how to contact the dev, but I was wondering if the missing episodes function can be fixed. A lot of the times it shows episodes as missing that have not aired yet. Thank you,1 point

If I have a collection that's sorted by title, it makes sense to still have the alpha picker on the side as when browsing a library.1 point

mediainfocli --Output=file://hdr.txt input.mkv Where hdr.txt is a 'mediainfo cli template' of what you want to extract (there are 100's of possible parameters) Use a recursive input file and dump the output to a file to get a usable CSV file Example Fixed Field CSV Output (incl DV)1 point

Actually, there is an alpha picker in Collections. So can only assume you mean in the add to Collection screen which has several requests.1 point

Again - the manufacturer is advertising "Atmos" support but that is only with it in DD+.1 point

Agreed but the issue is reduced if using a PC as you can just use the keyboard letter to jump you to the start of that letter group.1 point

For anyone else reading this in the future - for the changes to actually take effect: On Ubuntu 20.04, I found the playlist files at: /var/lib/emby/data/playlists The following lines need to be removed from the playlist .xml files (sudo privileges are required). <Studios> <Studio>...(also remove everything in between)...</Studio> </Studios> ......(leave the songs in place)...... <Shares> <Share> <UserId>1</UserId> <CanEdit>true</CanEdit> </Share> </Shares> <PlaylistMediaType>Audio</PlaylistMediaType> On the Emby home page, under My Media, and right click on Playlists icon image, select Scan Library Files, within a few seconds Emby will have read the updated files and you're good to go. Cheers, Scott1 point

Ditch your overpowered server, period. You're not going to like the advise, but the amount of power your server uses, unless it's being used for VM's as well, is nothing but a waste. All you need is a modern Intel processor with quicksync. If you want to keep your server, you could also just get an inexpensive laptop or NUC and use that for transcoding, and it will come in far under the price of a video card with today's current market. I personally have an i3-8130u laptop as my Emby transcode box, and it can easily handle 20 1080p transcodes at once, and 2 4k transcodes (I have not tried more as I don't give access to people who need to transcode 4k). There is a nice discussion on doom9 (26 pages) in the HEVC section where it has 5-6 years of hardware encoding, and current consensus is that Intel XE is superior in quality to NVENC, and almost the same speed. TLDR get an inexpensive i3-i5-i7 11th gen laptop for the current "best" experience. You'll not only have a small footprint, but it will use less power than a videocard, and it's actually affordable/attainable.1 point

Hello, I been trying to figure out how i can setup my Emby Server to run IPTV with a Hardware adapter or Box? I do understand i need to purchase the Premier Emby in order to used IPTV. ok, so what i am trying to do is run a hardware device that can stream IPTV connect to a Router that is running my VPN (CyberGhost). This router is only connecting to the VPN and everything connecting to the router is going though CyberGhost, so i need a hardware device that i can connect to the router, then i can connect to the Emby Server on a Different Ethernet port on the server. I had two ports on the Emby server that i can used. One port is used to connect though my ISP and the other port I wanted to connect to the hardware device that is running IPTV in order to hide the IPTV channels from my ISP. I have Emby Server running on Truenas and have Trunas config for other apps in my local network. So can someone help me figure out what i need to do in order to get this started? can someone let me know of a device that can connect to my server using ethernet port or USB and stream it though Emby? I hope this make sense ? Please let me know if i can do this or not? and I am sorry if this posting my cause a issue. Thank You0 points
