Maybe softwokz can make it a keyboard script in his browser support plugin2 points

It would be a great feature to allow an option for how many days back for the tv guide to go for providers that offer catchup services. You can then go back in he guide and play whatever you want like a PVR always.1 point

A certificate is checked against the name of the website which is being accessed. You are accessing "localhost", and that name is being compared with "xilf10.com" and failing to match - hence the failure which says exactly that. You can check your server locally (even on the same machine) using the domain name if you run a local DNS server - but for a check from a single client and server it would be less trouble to define the domain name as the server's local IP using a "hosts" file (see google for where that will be in your system) after which you can use the domain name locally and the SSL should be happy. I'm sorry, I misunderstood ! I thought you were telling me that I was installing the version with a 7 in front and that it was the wrong one, in fact it's quite the opposite. I keep the url you give me warm to avoid making mistakes again. Thank you again for your help. Greetings.1 point

So Kodi will be using direct file access, while emby will be using http out the box. I would try and pursue the direct file access from emby if you can - I use it myself on the Shield (loads faster and ZERO issues with high bitrate Remux files) but I use a Windows server - I don't have a Synology. Maybe @cayars or somebody else with this model of NAS can help get direct file this working for you.1 point

HI, I don't think the reports plugin currently exports this, but i agree it would be a good idea to add. Thanks for the feedback.1 point

Yes I have looked at these but cant seem to find one that will pass Dolby Vision on to the TV and EARC onto to the Arc apart from the HDFury Arcana which I guess depends on what you mean by cheap is around the £200 GBP / $250 USD mark. This also adds more cables/power plugs into the mix which if you looked behind my Tv cabinet I could do without Also my current set-up does work with Kodi so I know its not a hardware issue but Kodi doesnt cover all things Dolby Vision related whereas Emby works well with DV.1 point

Thanks Luke, i saw that after i posted this. I`ll change that and test it shortly and report back.1 point

Exactly, that's the wrong version. You do not have 7 after the word synology. You're trying to use a DSM 6 version. Download from here: https://emby.media/synology7-server.html1 point

yes, I was keeping track of that carefully, especially as I am only in testing. My guy says it's a stream issue (all are TS).1 point

One thing to note is your connection availability to the IPTV Service. To exceed this value would cause them to drop your connection and a lot of times when flipping thru channels Emby will keep "Ghost" streams open that will count toward your open connections.1 point
-
Sure looks to me, based solely on observation, that reconnection is not part of it for recordings. When watching IPTV you will occasionally get the spinning circle or some other indication that the stream has paused for some reason. It looks that when this happens is when recordings stop. Often when watching it will startup again on its own (reconnection successful maybe, I don't know the internals). But I do not think recordings recover. I could be wrong, I haven't looked at that for a couple releases now.1 point

Hi. We are trying to tell you and showing you examples of the fact that that is not correct. There is something about your specific images or setup that is causing that. Grim's assumption may be correct. If the first few items have an odd shape for a poster, the view will assume that is the most likely shape of the rest of your items and conform to that. You would only choose that if you had banner images for your items and wanted to see them that way. e.g.:1 point

Not at home now. It will take some time (3/4 days probably) . Away again to work. I didn’t notice on initial sync. On incremental it happens. On initial I believe that also happens under the same circumstances1 point

If you already changed the share permissions under system internal user then check your folder/file permissions. It's got to be one or the other1 point
-
No it doesn't but likely isn't the problem for the cutoff. That usually only happens when there is something in the stream it doesn't like or the connection was dropped and it couldn't reconnect. Check your m3u file to see what type of streams are being used. Are the TS or HLS playlist streams? I've found using TS to be a lot more reliable then HLS for recording and it's usually something you can control in the request line used to setup the tuner.1 point

S Sorry, we kinda got way laid. We have another release to push. Which will be today or tomorrow. We have been doing a lot of fixing and this is one thing we caught in our testing. Will be fixed in the next release.1 point

It means that your private network and router (192.168.1.0) are behind another private network and router (192.168.87.0). More often than not because someone installs a personal router connected to an ISP router. Usually can be fixed by changing the provider's modem/router to bridge mode or configure DMZ. In your case hop 3 is also a private network (100.76.0.0) so even if you fixed hop 2 your provider might be using CGNAT. If your provider can't give you a public IP address for your WAN connection then the solutions get more complex.1 point

Those params might not be implemented with the similar endpoint. We'll take a look. Thanks.1 point

That’s what I’m saying. I only want to keep one video file. Plays in my living room fine. But nowhere else. And scene captures are purple too. No way to have this version transcode for non dv clients? Guess I’ll have to re download. Meh.1 point

Why not just redownload a version of the movie without the DV in the filename? For example, skip anything which is WEB-DL and has DV as it will only have just the one layer. Finch 2021 2160p ATVP WEB-DL DDP5 1 Atmos HDR H 265-FLUX Finch 2021 2160p ATVP WEB-DL DDP5 1 Atmos DV HEVC-FLUX There is no second HDR10 layer to fall back on with these like there is with UHD so the only other choice would probably be to transcode/TM the file, but I would rather have the movie DP myself.1 point

Issue resolved! Funky local network configuration issue, and my local network was segmented so some devices were on same part of the network and some weren't. I'm loving Emby so far. Easier and less trouble than Plex.1 point
-
Being on LAN does not preclude by default that content will not be transcoded, as that depends on client capabilities and format the actual media is in, amongst others. Anyway, some details would be needed, see:1 point

Works like a charm on my setup. Can you send me a kodi.log? I explained that in an earlier posting. First, DON'T use it if you have no issues, it's more for debugging. I haven't found a way to put that in expert mode only which is actually what I want. The Date/Time is the incremental sync date on KODI STARTUP. Each Kodi start (and some other events) updates the timestamp automatically but there was no rollback option available. e.g. if something is broken in the sync you could set the syncdate manually a few days or hours in the past and restart Kodi. Probably this will repair your DB without a complete db wipe. It reflects the startup sync-timestamp, but don't even think about setting it back a month or so (unless you exactly know how this works and what would be the load). This could result in a huge incremental sync. As mentioned, this is an expert setting!1 point

Just because the protocol is encrypted, it does not mean the packet formations cannot be analysed and thus 'shaped'. The fact you are hitting a hard 'stop' suggests your ISP is indeed limiting the stream based on the traffic analysis. If an 'upload' internet 'speed test' gives you the expected 200Mbit/sec - It would be interesting if you also tried an upload speed test at the same time as the emby video stream is happening - does the speed test now only give you 150Mbit/sec ?1 point

Hi. That is exactly what it is. Our tags function exactly like their groups and, in fact, are automatically created from groups in the channel list if they exist. The reason we call them tags is because we are not just a TV front end. We are an entire media system and we already have tags for other media. It didn't make any sense to create the exact same thing and call it something else in TV. What I'm hearing in this discussion is our implementation is fine but we need to improve the speed and ease of switching between tags (groups) in the guide. I'm also hearing that there isn't a requirement or desire to see channel lists that consist of multiple groups as the interface that was suggested does not allow this (ours does). Is that accurate for everyone?1 point

xTeVe can makes a royal mess of channel numbers however if you use multiple feeds and aren't careful how you work with them.1 point
-
Only if your using HLS Streams, is xTeVe required. Plex will only play .ts Streams. Just use output=ts Filtering is extremely easy with xTeVe with Mapping and EPG assignment without the risk of a online service stealing your data. (Not saying epg.best would do that)1 point

Could you give me more precisions ? I don't see the livrary setup. How can I go to "emby server dashboard" ? I would like to change source of metadatas (actually, it is IMDb, and I would like to have TMDb to use Auto Box Sets plugin)1 point
