I am having the same original problem, "Trakt no longer synching collections but watched still works" for, I think, a week or so. Emby is correctly signaling Trakt of watched status, but not that fact that I have the media in my collection - it used to do this flawlessly. Emby version 4..6.4.0 Linux, Pop_OS1 point

No worries, read a bit here first: https://support.emby.media/support/solutions/articles/44001159036-system-requirements Whether those streams are played (or streamed, as it usually takes little CPU power) directly or transcoded. Either on server dashboard or in the client itself, by invoking Stats for Nerds. Exactly. That is where CPU and/or GPU come into play, as that can bring either to its knees, depending on the media. Edit: Cross-posted, I guess.1 point

Hi, the apps require updates to support the new option, which they will be getting. Thanks.1 point

No it doesnt. If I watch something and doesnt finish it, I cant use "resume"-function. Thats one exemple. For some, the forward and rewind doesnt work either.1 point

This is the question you should primarily answer to, as that will be a huge influencing factor:1 point

I ripped a part an old monitor, and duck tapped a raspi 3 on the back. I'll post some pictures here soon. Without the bezel it makes it lighter, and a more slim form factor. I'm using some of the commands from the Magic mirror project to get it to load the UI in portrait. I just have to find an old SD card to load it all up on.1 point

Yes as there is nothing missing since the title field is populated ie TBA. So a Full Refresh would be needed to update the populated fields. Emby does not have that option. But assume it is in on of the *arr programs.1 point

I think we can use 'Coming Soon' for actual trailers if you want. We can mix them into 'Recently Added'1 point

That helps. But if that's how Kodi shows the data anyway, is there a reason for not just having one repo with two builds? ... Not that this is a life changing issue either way. Appreciate the work none the less!1 point

Just so we're all on the same page the JU6050 is a 2015 model which runs Tizen version 2.3 TV Model Groups | Samsung Developers1 point

Hello all, it is a Samsung UE55JU6050 (2016). Yes, it was a USB install. As it is the European version there is no other way I did not update the Tizen app for a very looooong time as it was running perfectly. Some weeks ago I had an issue with another (unknown) app i the Samsung SmartHub so i needed to delete all apps (which solved this problem). Then I re-installed the emby app (I think it was 1.1.04 or 05) and since then the logo looks as on the screenshot I posted. Yesterday I updated to 1.1.06 and the graphical error persists. Hope this helps, let me know if you need further infos. Thanks H.1 point

There is no Samsung TV in the World which supports DV. If your video has only DV then it will look either purple or green. However, if your video has DV and HDR10 layers then it should discard the DV layer and still play HDR10 HDR format with both a DV and a HDR10 layer HDR format : Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.07.06, BL+EL+RPU, Blu-ray compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible example of video with only a DV layer HDR format : Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.05.06, BL+RPU Your best bet is to redownload a version w/o DV1 point

First, I apologize for my irritated post(s). Sometimes I have neither the time nor patience to dig. I know, lame, this is a forum for sharing knowledge not frustration of which I am guilty, more than once. Second, I appreciate the response; you revealed the issue. I should say, my inference: an active internet connection is required more often than current setup to have the emby server not disregard my lifetime membership for the server. That explains it; this is a qnap server of which I am much more guarded. I'll reassess my qnap concerns and emby. While I have the chance: great support from you, Luke and many others. I have learned much, not this until now, sorry, reading many posts. Thank you for the support, and patience. Success to Emby.1 point

A library option is probably needed to ignore multi version naming. I think that would help here.1 point

Hi. While physical media is this way, the artwork provided by most of our providers is consistent so this isn't an issue in most cases. The problem with attempting to show all the different shapes in a single presentation is that often looks quite bad. So we try to normalize to the most common or expected shape based on content and image type. Can you please show some screen shots of what you are finding to be a problem? Thanks.1 point

We do but as mentioned only for existing/valid Emby user on that server. But yes we should see all attempts shown in Alerts no matter if existing/non-existing user to that server.1 point

Hey, I don't know what this code does do you? No idea either, what do you think? Let's remove it. LOL1 point

So, i set up a test Raspberry Pi with LibreELEC 9.2.8 and Emby-next-gen 5.3.2 at home using tethering to simulate remote connections. I tried with many files, each one that requires transcoding fails on the Pi, but direct play works on the Pi. Transcoding works with other clients (Android app, for example). I add many logs here: embyserver_direct.log libreelec_direct.log user is set to 10 Mbps in Emby, but Direct Play on the Pi, bypassing the user bandwidth restriction kodi_10mbps.log embyserver_10mbps.log ffmpeg-transcode-332f148c-cd9d-445b-bcfe-f7cf3d35702a_1.log in Emby-next-gen setting, on the Pi I set remote bandwidth to 10.7 Mbps (can't set it to 10), and it seems like Emby tries to start a transcode but fails, returning a generic error message on the Pi. By the way, I tried to go to Under Advanced tab, set the Log level to Info. If you are asked to provide a more detailed log, set it Debug instead. Usually, setting the Log level to Info is enough. but I didn't find anything related to Log level under Advanced, is that normal? So I enabled debug on Kodi instead... Not sure if it's ok. Thanks a lot for your assistance1 point

On Linux, it had always been required to install Intel Media SDK components manually to get QuickSync working. In turn we hadn't got much feedback on this. Since a few months only, we are including the Media SDK components as part of the Emby Server installation, and now everybody can get QuickSync easily. Once we are confident enough about it to work fine, I'm inclined to change the default to QSV in fact as it provides better performance and quality.1 point

Yes, that is a very good idea......... Thanks As I think about it, Emby MUST check for season numbers to decide if that episode is already in the library. What if, Emby also checks the season "name" to see if it is already in the library ........ The season names ARE the same, just NO numbers from "Decades".1 point

Ok there's currently no way to do this, but it's possible for the future. Thanks.1 point

I would like to restrict it on home screen to selected libraries.1 point

What? If you want to resume something, just press the resume button not play. If you press play it starts over. fast foward and rewind works too.0 points
