Just wanted to say... After a few months of use, my 10 TB drive is only a third full so far, currently has over 250 movies, a couple hundred tv show episodes, and a couple hundred music videos. Almost have everything I want at this point, hard to imagine actually filling this drive, unless I put a bunch of crap on it, which I don't plan to do. Currently backing up nightly to a cheap 4TB drive, which still has almost 1 TB free. Pretty happy with this setup so far, it transcodes to 2 tv's and my cell phone easily, without breaking a sweat, all on a tight budget. Frugal wins.

Yes. The Roku will be getting updates to bring it closer to both the look and feel of the other clients. The "Emby" look will be coming to the Roku which includes theme support and everything else. This will just take time. But these are on the road map. We are going to bring themes to the Roku and unify the look and behavior of the application to be more like Emby and less like Roku. More like Android TV. Where the line is blurred and you can no longer tell is this Android TV or Roku?

Put TMDB on top of your meta-providers list (or only one selected) in your Library settings, once scraped lock the item and revert providers list as desired.

If you don't need DLNA on your network you can turn this off. Check out the options on the DLNA menu.

Your LG TV is querying your server repeatedly with Dlna content requests and this is likely the reason for the issue. My LG does the same thing even when I'm not even using their Dlna app.

@samuelqwe your episode selection idea is just bangin' em out! LOL! Every 4 seconds at least 2 are found! So good! There are a couple times where episode 1 is scanned and is recurring to find episodes.. . not exactly sure why... Yet.. Plus, this is only at max parallel of 2.

You lost me.. Sorta. At any rate, not having these two tasks run simultaneously is probably a good idea. Once the initial run is done I think the incremental runs are not so long so collisions are rare most of the time.

Whoa! Check out what happens to the IntroSkip plugin schedule task data, when the library Manager decides to take control and scan the library, adding real episodes and removing virtual (upcoming) episodes. So the Library Manager stops watching the folder that contains the series Archer, this is also a series we are about to scan for title sequences.... So they are both running at the same time (this is completely inadvertently...) Next we start to scan the series which has just been ignored by the library manager, guess what happens? No episode index number! We can finger print the file okay, but we won't know it's index. Long story short, it's probably easiest to check for the library manager running it's task... what ever task that is... and we'll stop and wait. Seems like an insignificant issue... but, we do use the index number in the title sequence task. If it is NULL in the database, we might run into trouble, and it would take a while to figure out just what happened. Kind of lucky it happened now actually.

all done 14gb lol of meta data and saved bits ect, everything working, much faster on its own PC rather than my desktop. & even kept where I'm upto on episodes. it all just looks how it looked on the other pc. At least I know exactly what to back up now and then. my data is on 2 NAs drives. Thanks for the replies In the end it was a really straight forward move, I did follow the Backup guide which helped loads.

Thanks for reply. I kept library paths the same on new pc, just the pc named changed and the pc user name. installation is about 6 months old and all up to date. I had read and followed the manual instructions to back up & restore. so fingers crossed for me thanks for help .

Here's my layout: If I have nothing in my Continue Watching/Listening, Live TV gets the autofocus. Otherwise, Continue Watching does. And you can see the autofocus at work in the screenshot too haha

Did you follow the txt? If so login with admin go to Dashboard-Users, select the admin then Password tab.

Okay with changing order of Home Screen if no continue watching or continue listing, live tv takes focus from position three. Now if other options are above live tv it can not take focus. With custom links you would add "noautofocus" to the class. This will prevent the links from becoming focused on Refresh, but will not help with Live TV becoming focused depending on its Home Screen position example, also changed to emby-button (note you can add "raised" also if you want the button to be like Live TV.) For Live TV you would have to edit the "homesections.js" adding "noautofucus" to those 4 elements. from beatified script from consolidated view (default) Unless someone else knows a better way. @tomnjerry74 @CarlosLima

@softworkz pretty sure that resolved it. I haven't been able to reproduce the issue at all on my older Roku since, and acceleration has been enabled and the system restarted before I tried any HEVC files, so it's a clean run. Honestly embarrassed I didn't check that in the first place. Thanks for the solution!

Unless you have a really old installations these paths are a token in the database to make this move possible. Since you don't have any Custom paths you should not have issue. Library paths may be your only issue if they change in this move.

If the XMLTV is truly generated from Schedules Direct then it could be the counter measures that SD is introducing to stop pirate ITPV and unauthorized apps from using their AWS URLs Martin

Since I left metabrowser, I have been using tinyMediaManager and it has been just fine for me. I prefer to RIP media to a specified drive, then set all the metadata and artwork. When it is ready, I move it to an "active" folder that Emby scans. I will use Emby to search for collection artwork after I create a collection.

For users with Samsung Tizen SmartTVs (2015 - Present) who want to test the latest version of the Emby client app before it's submitted to Samsung for release in their app store. These installs should be considered beta until approved by Samsung, however they are the same ones submitted to Samsung monthly for inclusion in the Samsung store. Samsung's policy is that the only official way to distribute apps is through the Samsung store and that usb installs should be used for testing purposes only. Because of this policy Samsung has mandated that usb distributed apps must expire within 30 days of compiling. To help with testing you will be remined to update to the latest beta release as the app expires to ensure you are using the latest version when reporting issues. This install will also work for those who don't have access to the official client app in the Samsung app store. However, the same rules must be followed as indicated above. so for whatever reason, my Roku will not play AVI files from Emby server. I've solved that for my permanent library by moving everything to MKV, but a lot of times there is something I only plan to watch once and delete, so running through handbrake is a pain. How do i force Emby server to transcode any AVI files when Roku client is used? I've looked, I just can't seem to find the answer.
