  1. Oh it's not me with that situation. It's a user of my VirtualTV plugin and my plugin doesn't follow that granted over forbidden permission rule. That's why i wanted to know if it's itententional or if it works that way by accident and can break at any time before try to adjust my plugin.

  2. Ok so my request is to be able to search each library separate as it stands when you search it searches everything, and if like me you have 30k music tracks 10k books/comics 10k episodes and 10k+ movies, searching is slow so is it possible to have a search section for each library individually

  3. How are they named? But I believe once split apart you have to manually group them back together.

  7. We're hard at work on the new Windows app. We'll take a look at this as part of that. Thanks.

  8. There are now 3 separate threads about trailers not working with the ATV app, including this one.

  9. Whaaaaaaaat?! I had no idea that works. My main objective is getting Emby to be something my parents are comfortable with. They have a 2020 model Samsung TV, currently using the CCwGTV so I'll have to try setting that up. Good call! The only issue is that their soundbar is optical so I don't think the TV remote would control volume in that setup. Definitely going to mess around with this idea, thanks.

  10. Right now all channels are assumed to be video. If they end up being audio-only, they'll play fine in Emby and will just be displayed in a video player context. It is possible to improve this, but that's how they are as of today.

  11. Do you have a TV that supports CEC? If so the remote that came with the TV itself might work assuming you turn on CEC support in the ATV box. I can do this on my Shield TV using the Samsung remote.

  12. As rodaines mentioned the 30 day expiration of sideloaded apps is a new mandate from Samsung forcing app developers to use the Samsung store which they charge money for. USB is meant for testing only, but for many people like yourself you can't get the app from the Samsung store and thus you use the USB method. which now has to be loaded every month unless you kept a really old version before this all started. The only way to get around it that I'm aware of is to change your region to US, UK or Ireland like rodaines also mentioned. The only issue with that is that you can only load store apps from the one region. For some people that's not an issue because Emby is the only smart app they use.

  15. Thats imposed by Samsung for sideloading apps, its a feature for developers and not really for enduser usage, so they limit it at OS level.

  16. Hi. Unfortunately, such a system would make it more cumbersome for users (having to get new keys when they re-install a server or move machines) and also make it too easy to abuse the system.

  19. Using embuary the main home screen widget area 'On right now' shows what's on live TV for the first few channels in the guide. I was hoping that there was a way to customise those channels, perhaps show your favourite channels first as selected in emby or at least a particular channel group. Is there a way to, perhaps by editing an .xml file if not in the interface?

  20. Make sure that you're using port forwarding and not port triggering. Bittorrent is a p2p protocol with outbound and inbound connections. Emby is not and might explain why your access stops working after some time since the triggered ports will expire.

  21. The browser UI is definitely zippier than the Theatre program, but your UI looks choppy as hell, something I wouldn't expect given your system specs.

  22. Great work! I would definitely like this feature. I'm constantly shuffling and renaming .srt files.

  23. Maybe your ports arent forward on your router, maybe a firewall is blocking incoming connections. Need to check those.

  24. Chances are your provider will supply you with guide info which you can use. However you will note that Emby's guide data is better. What you can do is use the provider guide to auto match your m3u stream then load your CA & US guides and match specific channels you will use frequently to get the better data. Sort of best of both worlds trying to keep matching easy. Edit your m3u list down to channels you will actually use like <500 vs loading multi-thousand channels which just makes using them hard. Less is more often when it comes to usability of TV.

  30. I absolutely agree that movies should not start playing right away within a playlist. Clicking on a movie in a playlist should take you to the movie's info page. Simple.

  31. Ok, thanks for reporting. This is an erroneous message. In other words, there was an error somewhere that you should have been informed about, but it was the wrong one. You said you had just turned the TV back on, so my guess is that the TV network connection hadn't been fully restored yet and it was just a connection error. Thanks.

  32. Collections are a good idea. We should probably have a way of getting to the media detail screen from a playlist though.
