I dont know it is being asked before, but could you apply at least the scaling factor to ass/ssa subtitles, some are tiny by format and when you warch it on a TV with some distance is hard to see them. For example I know MXPlayer can scale the size of them.

Recently matroska and mkvtoolnix added support for additional subtitle flags including "Hearing impaired" for subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH). Request: Emby add some or all of the additional subtitle flags to media info and also as a choice for playback under user user settings. add support for external SDH subtitle naming (ex. moviename.SDH.eng.srt) Reason: my wife and are are getting older and it seems more and more I'm hearing "What did they say" a lot. If I could set certain Emby users to always play the "Hearing impaired" subtitles if available then I wouldn't have to back up and restart playback with SDH subtitles enabled. Other flags like "Commentary" would be nice also as I have several films with those Having this flag would also make it easier to run a script to list which movies have and don't have "Hearing impaired" / SDH subtitles so that I can go out and get the missing ones.

The only place right now is the album list screen, configuring the view type.

Apologies for the disruption. Because music scanning was rewritten in 4.6, music albums are different objects in the database now and that's why this happened. We'll look and see what can be done but as the other user mentioned, if you recreate them with the same name, the artwork is still there and will be used.

The people backup plugin will be modified to only backup/restore people from media folders.

Then take that folder out of your parent TV Shows folder, scan library, put it back, scan library again.

No, in these "old" televisions I usually replace the "smart" features with external devices such as Nvidia Shield, Fire TV, Mi Box... I am not very fond of smart TVs. Software is often out of date before the life of the TV ends.

Yup, same issue that number of us had, Refresh Metadata did sort it out for me. A bit counter-intuitive, but gets the job done.

Would you mind trying one more thing? Try doing a meta-data refresh for missing items on that library.

Don't be afraid, builds labeled as experimental by @quickmicwould be labelled release candidate by most other devs. That's how stable they are.

It does work in the new version, but I was pointing out that the letters disappear when sorting by album artist. I think the letters should still be there when sorting by album artist.

Yea, its great already use it for sonarr, radarr and bazarr. Im already sending Emby payloads to the developer's server. He already had a look at them and its looking positive.

I'm working with the Notifiarr developer to get Emby support. Hopefully when that's done i can have everything in Discord in seperate channels I set for each category and ditch Pushover.

When searching for a subtitle during playback, the filename displayed at the bottom right contains what appears to be an UUID so it looks like: UUID-stream-NameOfFile Would it be possible to strip the UUID-stream- part so only the filename is visible? It increases the chances of finding a suitable subtitle with proper sync.

Yeah the missing piece of the puzzle is I have multiple NIC's in my Server. The one I ssh on internally, is not the one Emby goes out on. Only the "primary" one I had set to Google DNS not the one dedicated to Emby traffic.

i would be in support of @mbarylski view on this one for when albums are sorted by album artist. pretty sure this view and navigation was available in WMC. less in support of the date/number navigation though

Hi. I just wiped all plugin-related folders as you stated and reinstalled it. Then, the same happened: it hang with the message "Update Views". But, I waiting for around 10 minutes (something like that) and performed the importing process of the Emby libraries. Since then, I have powered it on and off 4 of 5 times, and no more "Update Views" message has appeared. It seems it is working fine. It was strange, but it works at the end Thanks

@Thomas64 I think it might disappear if you change the sort on Album view to sort by Album Artist instead of title. @ebr The way it would work is to just navigate by whatever the sort term is. Frankly you could do that on any of the sort items. If it's a date, change to a date in navigation. If it's a number, change to a number.

I'd like it to be a user option that each user could set in their settings area with a standard set by the server or just left to the Emby default.

Any chance I could set a global offset for a roku device from the admin panel of the server? This would let me get closer as the offset is pretty constant for a given configuration in my experience.

Never thought that wi-fi can work better then ethernet, but I switched to wi-fi and played ~5mins with no buffering.

thats not really relevant to the request. we would just like to be able to have the possibility of the "grouped by show" view for the recordings tab. even better to be able to easily flip between the two as you could in WMC.

Another test please, trying to get metadata (rich data) back. It seems, based on comments in the code and what we are seeing, that Emby says the new material is available before it has gotten its metadata. This attempts to handle it. The ffmpeg log file is showing some issues with PES and frame sizes it doesn't like. A couple people have reported similar issues. This is something @softworkz needs to look at.

Enabling audio passthrough would likely allow many of us to finally play 4k on Xbox. Still no update to the Emby app though to support audio passthrough. Hoping it gets released really soon though.

Looking in to it but unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to be that easy given the way the plugin is written. I think I need to expand and add as its own capability. I want this for myself too so you can be sure I want to find time for it, just time poor atm. I have submitted a pull with some new features and bug fixes in the mean time. Assume much like I, Luke and co will need to find time to accept and merge. One feature that will need testing will be ‘Allow TBA episodes’ - I have tested best I could but need to find data from tvdb etc what is first named ‘TBA’ and then later gets updated. Luke has advised a meta refresh shouldn’t be needed but obviously be nice to see that in action this feature will stop emby moving an episode until it has a useful name. It could be annoying to some so has been enabled by default, but by disabling it episodes won’t be stored (and therefore named) until a name is available. (Essentially I have a lot of media named episode.s01.e02…TBA.mp4 and I hate that the real episode name is not there)
