Hello, if both external and embedded subtitles exist, external subtitles cannot be identified?

Hi All, Just want to check in regarding the PlayOn Plugin. Firstly I want to say sorry for not picking this up sooner other things in my life have taken my time away from this. I have been doing some digging with the newest version of PlayOn Server and it appears that PlayOn have removed the mobile site at some point (guessing because the whole thing was based on Flash which is now dead) The Emby PlayOn Plugin uses that to get the info it needs to display anything. It also appears Playon have removed the ability to stream without recording first which the Emby plugin wouldn't be able to support anyway even if there was some API to hook in to which it appears after port scanning there isn't. So I'm going to be taking the plugin down as soon as I can. The plugin has a 30 day trial on it which is built in as part of Emby's plugin stuff so there should have never been a need to purchase until that was up and I'm sorry to the people that have purchased and not got it working, I did try for few people to get it working and some were successful and some weren't, I personally when was using this when first developed had no issues I think everyone's setup was slightly different.

At the end of playback instead of displaying the detail screen, a post-playback screen could be displayed. For example, in TV Shows you could offer to play the next episode, in movies, you can offer related movies or if the film is part of a collection, offer to play the next item.

In the future everybody would share and play nice. In the future we all share a common goal and the nasty of the world is eliminated. There is only joy. The future is a perfect place. But the reality is anything but. There must be a difference and a race to be better or you are stuck with mundane. The same. A race to the bottom. Instead what you have presently is a race to the top which is a very good thing. It inspires development wanting to be better. I think what is meant was the future is heading towards a unified experience where we all submit code to the same branch and play nice and we all evolve hardware tone mapping together. But we are certainly not there yet... It is a time consuming (time is money) process to learn everything and to just give it away (share code) so others can immediately catch up (close the gap) at this point is not going to happen. In a few years.. maybe. Maybe that is the future in a few years.

Hi, I am a new Emby user and I can say I am impressed with it. I have been using Kodi for a long time and I rely to nfo files (it's my preferred choice for dealing with my media). Since Emby can't parse artwork from NFO files, I decided to give a try to local artwork. My problem now, my artwork is not in jpg and png files, I prefer it to be in webp format (smaller filesizes, massive savings especially in png files since png is lossless and huge in filesize). If I rename the webp artwork to png (for example poster.webp to poster.png) Emby reads and displays the webp artwork fine. So what I am requesting.. is it possible for Emby like Kodi does to read more image formats for local artwork and not only jpg and png? It's only an import issue, Emby imports and displays the webp artwork fine if I change the extension to png. Thank you in advance for any reply to my request Emby devs.

Hi, All the trailers are in english, is not possible to add on this extension the language selection for have the trailer on the good languague ?

When a Trailer is locally included in a movie it's accessible from the "Trailer Button". When there are more than 1 trailer (Trailer 1, Trailer 2, Trailer 3) all of them are played one after the other on the "Trailer Button". I understand the logic if there's one trailer to be "THE TRAILER" but if there's more than one I believe would be better "Trailer button" plays Trailer 1 and all the trailers can be shown as Extras.

Hi Guys, For now Emby app is not available on EU stores (Spanish is mine) and the only solution is to go to the Samsung Store on the web, download the package and manually install it from the USB. This will not be a big issue if then the app will be able to auto-update, but this is not possible if the app is not published into the Spanish market. Any plans to release it ? Thanks

@cayars I've reinstalled Emby a number of times on the same and different hardware and have consistently had the same issues so I don't believe it is a "misconfiguration or corruption". I have learnt to let it record and watch it later and then I have no issues at all. I use other solutions if I know I am going to want to watch while still recording. While I may be part of only 0.01% it doesn't change the fact that it 'can' happen in some unknown use case so I thought it worth mentioning. Certainly not trying to imply it happens in all or even many cases and if the Op is not planning on using DVR then an Emby Windows server is truly awesome!

Yes I believe they want everyone moved to there Cloud Platform instead of the desktop version from what I can tell.

That file plays fine for me but that is very different from tuning to a channel on the tuner.

I think this did it. Its been pretty much a whole day since I did this and it hasn't come back even after a couple restarts. Thanks a ton! I agree with the bug thing. I think the recordings library reappearing despite holding no recordings is not the intended functionality. IMO I don't think it should force the creation of the library unless a recording has started.

Hi: I think I just put in a pull request to get it back functioning again.

Emby is much better supported than Plex. Plex was OK when I first got it, but there were Mac issues then that took too long to get proper attention to. The Emby devs and support have been 24 hrs and less for the most part. I think the community is better too. I'll have to look at Shield and Firestick. But for now, as I said, the minor inconvenience of hitting the resync button on the gear is only bothering my right thumb. All these devices need a decent connect app or simple BT kb access.

@GrimReaper76 Try this with "Replace Emby Server with your server name" checked again. Debug log only if it fails please. I suspect you won't get your server name but it should at least not fail with it checked. Hello, As there is no answer to my question, I made a test with the same song/file running on Plex (Plexamp) and Emby (Emby app for iOS). We clearly here something jumping (micro gap) in between the two songs... Thank fo letting me know what I should expect.

Whats your emby server name itself? And the thing to try would be unchecking "Replace "Emby Server with your server name" and trying webhook name shouldnt matter as that seems to be working

Please find a fix for this. I have 5 older firesticks and fire tv's and none of them are able to play mkv's like they used to. The video acts like its playing and I can hear audio, but no video. Sometimes it just stutters uncontrollably as well. I tried playback correction, and turning on and off hardware acceleration. Nothing seems to work. My newer firesticks and the fire cube have no problems after the update. If there is a way to roll back for the older devices, id be happy.

@Luke Since your last response to this topic, another one and a half year passed away and we get no information about a release or available beta for german yet. You have also not said whether and how you can be supported in this. This is very frustrating. This topic was opened in October 2017. Nothing happens in the last 3 and a half years!

Tonight I tried both the suggested 5.2.07 build from the beta repo and the experimental 5.2.8-build 2 (ex1) build. Neither of them have delete after watch working. The last working version seems to be 5.2.07-build 233 (ex38). On the later builds the delete popup never appears after the show ends. Please let me know if you need a Kodi log.

I just rebuilt it with the latest emby dll. The settings page opens, but I don't have any way of testing it further. If someone wants to try this, and if it works I can try and figure out github enough to update the repo. Emby.Notifications.Discord.dll.zip

I have confirmed this appears to be working as expected. It looks like you also prioritize the X-forwarded-for IP over x-real-ip which is also good IMO. I tested by passing the default headers to emby with no modification. Emby reported proper client IPv6 and IPv4 IP's. I then had my reverse proxy force x-real-ip to 1.1.1.1 and tested again, emby reported the correct IPv6 and IPv4 addresses (not the fake 1.1.1.1). This test seems to confirm that emby is preferring the x-forwarded-for over x-real-ip which is a very good thing again IMO. Thanks for taking the time to look into this small item. Its a big deal to some of us with proxies or other devices between the client and the server, especially if emby believes the remote client is actually on the LAN and not connecting remotely.

I can revisit this. I think it should be for raspberry pi. But, I'll create a web page that requests the currently playing item for a session and will display it, in portrait, in a kiosk browser window. We'll show a default image if the page loads and nothing is playing in the session. My development computer has been in pieces for several weeks, but I'll take a look as soon as is possible.

Emby Theater could work on Xbox Series X?

That's the goal of this FR. I like the Netflix post-play screen when auto queue episodes is disabled. Just pressing OK, you play the next episode. Using Emby you have to scroll down to the Next Up hub, scroll right, press Ok for next episode detail, and press ok again to start playback.

Yep - Posted a fix last year. Try this... Go to the following registry location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Configuration Under this key you will have a number of different entries. Inside of each entry will be a 00 folder. Check each folder for the following keys... PrimSurfSize.cx PrimSurfSize.cy The values should equate to the resolution you have set on your PC. In my case the first 3 configurations all matches my resolution (1440 x 1050). A forth configuration was set to 1024x768. This entry is causing Emby to resize to that space when the monitor/TV becomes reconnects. I adjusted those registry keys to 1440 and 1050 respectively and restarted the computer. Now, when the monitor is powered off and on the Emby Theater app remains full screen.

Yeah, I've read through their API docs. Should we build this? It would take a day or two to lay it out. Actually I'm just going to make it. If people want it then it'll be available.
