I don't believe there's an elegant way to do this now, so it would be awesome to have the ability to set the destination of the recording at the time the recording is set. All my kids shows go to the default location and I have to manually move them to the kids-tv folder/library in order to keep them off my UI. It wouldn't work at the user level because my kids aren't old enough to record their own stuff, and having to switch to their profile just to set up a recording would be a pita. Thanks

I have older parents and siblings who are not the least bit technologically inclined and easily confused. I regularly have to manually log into each profile and clean these sections out for them. End user ease of use and all that, right? Having this option would simplify this for me, so that I do not have to do this one by one for them. It is tedious. This was part of my request the other day about modifying other users options from the admin panel, of which this specific area was unaddressed. This seems a good second option.

FYI, for *hit$ and giggles, attempted to upgrade manually and the 10.0.0 is no longer available, at least my Roku no longer can download it. Perhaps Roku has taken it offline due to the issues it caused. Currently have Roku 9.4.0 build 4200-46 and the Emby app works flawlessly. A similar thing occurred last year with Roku except it affected YouTube which a later revision fixed.

Unfortunately tvOS has a tab limit. At this point in time the Folders tabs haven’t made the cut to be included in the list. We may explore options in the future of allowing users to configure which tabs they want to see.

#1 - Can you switch to the other Audio formats during playback ? Is this for all files or just a few ? #2 - You can either name them to show the 'title' or set emby to use the title rather than specify the generic type - but this leads to issues when titles are not used. #3 - You need to be using the latest Android TV Beta to play DV. Your files also need to be single layer DV BL+EL - no player other than a physical 4K Ultra BluRay player will play dual layer. Use mediaInfo to confirm this. It will say something like this :- "HDR format : Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.07.06, BL+EL+RPU, Blu-ray compatible / SMPTE ST 2094 App 4, Version 1, HDR10+ Profile B compatible"

What version of that app are you using and what type of subtitles are they (ass, srt, etc)? There have been some subtitle fixes of late and 1.0.93 is the latest

I finally managed to mess up the artwork. I did a “Refresh Metadata-Replace existing images” for my Movie library and for all movies the Fanart was gone after that. Removed all files and folders from Kodi\userdata\Thumbnails and restarted Kodi. That didn’t bring back the Movie Fanart. Only a local db reset seems to fix this. I tried this on my Win10 test machine with E4K 5.2.06-build 82 (ex17)

Artwork caching is always active. This is a Kodi native feature, but it caches only Artwork once used/shown. The "cache all artwork" is doing the cache in advance (only works with WebUI enabled in Kodi). Yes, can take several Gigabytes, but makes the Artwork loading faster. Very useful if you run Kodi from Internet to minimize Artwork delays.

In the VPS where Emby is installed, we have other services like SSH. When the emby falls, all other services are active, except the emby. The emby process is active during the fall, but totally inaccessible. I'm enabling emby to debug the logs, who knows this can help.

Is there (or can there be) a way to change the "captions" that are displayed when the Photo Slideshow Screensaver runs? Currently, the caption displays the file name of the image; "DSC03265" means nothing to me. I would like to be able to display the date the image was made. Even better, geotag information, but the date the image was made would be immensely more helpful than the file name.

Doesn't look like the new Exoplayer fixed the timing during the skips for either movie for me. Only thing that works is using VLC as an external player or using an audio track other than the TrueHD Atmos one.

@Luke I have discussed it with him through DMs already, it seems that he has all his video and subtitle files in only one folder, so he cannot use the RPDB Folders app to populate his media folders with "poster.jpg". I have yet to create a dedicated Emby plugin for this service (as I have focused more on adding new features to the API such as alternative poster options and custom poster choices based on image URL), would appreciate some pointers / guidance in order to get a plugin up and running faster if that's not too much of a bother. BTW, your activity on this forum is highly impressive, I'm one of the lead devs at Stremio so I can understand the value of your effort.

Following out of the topic: and discussion in: FR for Metacritc nfo rating name tag (name="metacritic", as per: https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/Movies#nfo_Tags ) to be recognized and associated with <criticrating> until (if ever) time comes that multiple-sourced ratings will be implemented/presented/nfo-written, with the following logic: 1) If only name="tomatometerallcritics" present - bind to <criticrating> 2) If only name="metacritic" present - bind to <criticrating> 3) If both name="tomatometerallcritics" and name="metacritic" present, look for default="true": - whichever is default, bind to <criticrating>, ignore the other - if none is default, bind name="tomatometerallcritics" to <criticrating>, ignore the other That way present functionality will not be affected, RT still takes precedence, and those users, like me, who prefer Metacritic ratings, just have to make sure those carry 'default' tag in respective nfo. This should apply to those that have already upgraded to matrix and embuary has been automatically disabled. Copy the addon.xml (located in the skin.embuary-leia folder in the add-ons folder within your kodi userdata folder) from your kodi install to a computer. Your userdata folder will be different depending on what you have kodi installed on. Check the kodi wiki if you don't know where it is. Open the addon.xml file in either notepad++ or notepad. Find the line that says <import addon="xbmc.gui" version="5.14.0"/> And change it to <import addon="xbmc.gui" version="5.15.0"/> Then copy the addon.xml back to the same location for your kodi install in step 1. Restart your box and/or kodi. You can now enable/select the skin in settings.

I really don't think we could (or should, rather) do that. Right now we send absolutely no information about your media anywhere outside of your network. Even as an "opt-in" feature, this would just open the door for people to think we're doing malevolent things with knowledge of their media. I don't really want to crack that door open.

Is there a way to handle multiple titles? For example, Lucky Number Slevin was released in Australia as The Wrong Man. I'd like to list it under its actual title but still have a search for The Wrong Man return it as a result. Or possibly vice versa...

Where did you find this Home Assistant plugin? Is it on GitHub? I think emby needs a home assistant plugin in it's catalogue, something that can be maintained from one of our developers. I use Vera, however I'd be happy to use the template from vera and the Phillips hue plugins to build a standard Home Assistant plugin and maintain it. Or work with the developer of the plugin mentioned to help maintain or answer questions they might have to have things working from our end. @@jriker1
