  1. OK, I know what's going on here. It only affects 2019 models. Just need to work out a fix.

  2. I'd really like to have 2 Factor Authentication added to the login screen. It's just this (optional) extra layer of security to help secure the server (which, especially if people use camera uploads) contains pretty private data. There are for every type of programming language quite a few libraries available, so implementation on a server shouldn't be too hard to realise

  3. Feature Request. A present I have several user accounts setup for family members. When we sit down together to watch a movie we currently log into one account (Mostly mine), so obviously only this account gets the watched status. What happens then is everyone uses my account because there's isn't up-to date and it's "just easier". This results in my account telling me I've watched something when I haven't... I would like the ability to log into my account and select/deselect which other users are present so that when a movie/TV episode is watched together, their watched statuses are updated accordingly? The next time you log in again all other users would have been deselected. It could be implemented so each user account can do this, or only select user accounts can. Even a special "Family" user account, or multiple viewers button as long as everyone's watched status is correct. Even just ticking the users present on the login screen before login into an account.

  4. Hello Some weeks ago I start to add my e-books to Emby and most things works for me, but one thing is a littlebit annoying: If you have one e-book in different file format, you could not really see which is which. Only when you start the download you see the complete file name with the extension. So it would be really helpful to see the file format before you open the e-book overview, a solution would be to add a small logo with the file extension to the thumbnail (or in list view add a column for the file format), or if there is the same book in different format, show it as one book and when you want to download it, you could choose which format you want to download (for late if an e-book reader will be in Emby). I would say it has not a high priority but maybe easy to integrate. Varmandra

  7. Okay thanks. I will take a look at docs. I have seen the Freenas user guide but may have not read it in as much detail as I should. I'll read again this time carefully and see if I can find anything amiss with the permissions. Otherwise my fallback is make a fresh start I will create a completely new Freenas dataset (probably called Films) copy the contents of the existing Movies dataset into this and then create a new Emby mount point for this fresh dataset and then try to add a new library using this new dataset and EmbyJail mountpoint folder. If either of these work I will post the result

  8. What Cayars said. Look inside that nfo file. Dollars to doughnuts it says it is some other movie.

  9. I have [Rec} movies in my library and they are found and names correctly. However they have been in my library for a long time and I seem to remember that I had some trouble with their naming when first imported. What I remember is that they were named something weird and I had to do an "Identify" to get them named correctly.. Of course if you do not find the under any name then you can't "identify" them. If I remember correctly part of the problem with [Rec] is that Emby is supposed to ignore anything in square brackets so [Rec] would be ignored. Try naming those movies and folders just Rec to see if Emby can match them that way. I cannot guarantee that my old memory is correct or that what I suggest will work at all but it seems worth a try. Also when matched "[Rec]" becomes the first movie (Maybe the second behind "+1" ) in my library when it is sorted alphabetically but I change the "Sort title" to "Rec" as it seems more logical to me to have it in with the "Rs"

  10. The Subtitle Edit programme allows you via the synchronisation menu to adjust your sub speed and has the options to change frame rate or change speed of the subtitles - which i believe should allow you to fix the ntsc vs Pal issue and you can do a batch process once you find the correct settings that work for you

  11. this is why you have issues with sub directory... some legitimate emby files are located at domain.com/emby/xxxxx and some are just domain.com/xxxxx right now your nginx config is stripping off the /emby/ also some of the apps request files directly at domain.com/files and don't always add the /emby/ automatically... your nginx with subdirectory will ignore those and try to server the file from your root domain.com. I run quite a few services all sub domain.. you can do both, the "server" block "server_name" has to be matched before the location within that server block will work.. so you can leave what you have now then add a new server block at the end of your config before the last } close.. make the server name emby.yourdomain.com using as much of my test config as you can and test it. Your CDN will also need a cname added for "emby.domain.com" or "emby.*" however your CDN works. also you said you were using cloudflare... looks like you are using a different CDN? also your ip and stuff is exposed in your current setup... if it was your plan to hide this then you are doing it wrong.

  13. Did ya'll know 41 years ago LaserDiscs had chapters your could skip between? Yet into 2021 Emby still doesn't have chapter navigation on many of it's client apps.

  14. Well good news, in the future, when Emby Server 4.6 is released, it will be immediate. As soon as the movie is scanned into the library.

  15. I would like to re-open the topic of metadata for adult/porn movies/scenes since nothing happened when the subject was broached way back in 2017/18. I'm OCD and it kind of drives me nuts not having ant rhyme or reason when it comes to cataloging/viewing my adult movies/scenes. Are there any agents I don't know about? All the github agents from AEBN, Adult Empire etc are long abandoned for some reason and I'm SURE I'm not the only one who'd be interested. Many Thanks.

  16. So, I was a little confused when I first started using Emby and was setting it up, I enabled Theme Music. Nothing happened. I thought it might be a Premiere only feature. I got premiere and it still wasn't working(it's free in Plex by the way, no pass needed), so I looked at the plugin and saw it might need to be paid for separately, but it had a trial...and still no music. Further research showed you had to download the theme music yourself and put it into folders...so using your own space and a lot of time and effort once again. Meanwhile I found a post that said Plex licensed a library and that was how they were able to just offer it was a simple option. Perhaps Emby could look into the same kind of licensing deal? It's a neat little feature that sometimes I enjoyed just going into a series on Plex and hearing some of it's music play right away and could kind of get me excited to start an episode or interested in a series I had there. I get matches for like 99% of my content instantly and it's neat. Obviously it could be annoying to some, so obviously off by default, but I like it. Obviously it costs money and is probably not a very requested feature. It's one of those I could live with or without and isn't really a priority to me, but it's something I did enjoy from Plex. It could even be a Premiere exclusive feature if need be.

  18. Hi Could you please add add a db service like goodreads.com (they have and IPI) or something that could identify and download images and metadata for ebooks and audiobooks by name like movies and series? Thanks

  19. Ok, this makes sense. I understand us Audio Books collectors are by far in the minority. Even I use Emby for Movies way more than for Audio Books, but the feature would be cool. Seriously not into Calibre, I have tried using it but maybe I didn't try enough, but I never could get it setup the way I want it. Even Emby Audio Books, just using songs works better!

  20. Hey I just recently set up a emby server, I got a decent amount of stuff on it already and was wondering if some people would like to take a look and possibly use? Update: Hey everyone just a reminder that this is a new server and has a limited storage, I plan on upgrading this at some point but till then I plan on rotating out media that is not as popular as some stuff every coupe of weeks. Let me know if there are any things different that I can do to improve UI or speed. Send me movies and TV shows! Lots of TV shows!

  21. I'm not really sure that's the best solution. I know there have been multiple requests for a sort of multi-cast solution where a single media file is streamed to multiple clients/users simultaneously. That being said, I think its a tall order. I couldn't find what is now the official request for that... does anyone else know which thread is the best one to "like" for that feature?
