He has been on it since 2013, even though It has had rapid development since about this time last year. Thanks Sir @Montellese. He has been swamped with work and life so has not found time to rebase. In addition, your testing, and that of others like yourself, have given him a clearer picture of it's use. At least clearer that when he started designing the database and base items. Owing to this he has been making some 'low level' changes and encounter a challenge that he hasn't solve yet. Hopefully with the holiday rush over, he may be able to have another go at it. With regards to the Beta 2, if he can find the time, i wouldn't mind. However, if time is still tight, I would prefer a release based on Kodi v19 Final. This I think would a good daily driver and give a more stable test environment since there should be less bugs in Kodi itself. Thanks again for testing and I Happy New Year when it rolls your way

Hi, Maybe I'm blind but I did not found anywhere (ios app, web app and theather pc) a button which allows to skip playing chapter to next one, if they are defined. I see chapters all listed before I start the movie, but there is no way to choose or skip them while playing.

Given the fact that Kodi 19 is still in beta stage and my favorite skin Titan skin is not available yet, I plan to stick to kodi 18, although I am testing the new e4k in Kodi 19 and if noticed any issue I shall report. I think Titan Bingie developer has a plan to develop his version for Kodi 19, that is yet to happen. Are you suggesting that this one need to make change in the skin, if that is the case I see a drawback, as it will mean that switching between e4k 4xxx and 5xxx one have to fiddle with skin (if only such person know how). I think its normal for upgrade to happen once an upgrade is initiated, so may a notice to advice user before the system process to upgrade the implication of the upgrade, Yes/No prompt to go ahead or no, just my 2cent thought

Also ich habe wirklich das was ich brauche ein Datenbank in Emby und importieren bei Kodi only Files, ohne search irgend einfach nfo info s Deine bitte gehe ich gerne nach.Paar ip Adressen eingeben und path anpassen sollte nicht so schwer sein dachte ich mir. Ich füge repo ein und werde beta testen, mit addon Config auf vero 4k+. Schade das es von emby nicht irgend wie ein locale Abgespeckte version gibt.Wie damals xbne oder nfo editor.Und einfach rüber ins Kodi Datenbank. Weil die Software hat der maßen Power,Das ist wirklich echt ne geile Software.Selbst bei syno nimmet er mir 30% Ram weg ob wohl ich viele Plug ins deinstalliert habe. Not usually, no - it is routing traffic between the outside and the inside of your network. Now, if you try to access your server using your external address while inside your network, that request will go to your router - but whether your router is prepared to accept and pass on traffic for the external address when received internally (known as loopback or hairpinning) is a matter of design and/or settings, and you need to be more confident in your networking abilities to be able to check that out, I suspect. He wants to be able to use his subtitles. When embedded he has a performance problem; when external, the name which was carried by the embedded subtitle stream is no longer available. Now, if you have only one set of subtitles (per language), the name is unimportant so long as the correct language can be selected (which it can be). However, if you have - as I frequently have - multiple sets of subtitles which are different translations into the same language, then with external subtitles there is no way to give a descriptive name to each set of subtitles, whereas embedded subtitles can be given a name as part of the container. EDIT: This is possible, I realise, but the naming is rather restrictive (e.g. no spaces or underscores allowed): Now he could resolve the performance problem without spending money if he could have the server burn the subs in - but as the movies are HDR, that will involve major quality loss until Emby handles transcoding of HDR. So his options are: (1) External subs (multiple same-language subs can't be distinguished) (2) Emby extracts subs (major performance limitation or even complete failure on big movies) (3) Emby burns in subs (and losses HDR) In other words, he is between a rock and a hard place right now, unless he can accept a single unnamed external subtitle (which should be fine in most circumstances). There is nothing here that Emby can solve for him, other than the HDR transcoding - which is already a widely-commented issue! Paul

at our own risc, of course. It has a serious vulnerability, it can be easily used maliciously, say that the random russian/chinese scan down your server and find out that they can access the 8096 port, they get in and they see a series of usernames all passprotected, then they get into forget password and introduce any of said usernames, each creates a file in our servers, a simple script can automate that and if runned indefinetly it can easily and quickly flood the hard drive. There is no chance that I as Sysadmin forget my goddamn passwords anyway...

Didn't look at the logs but check your WAN IP and make sure it's the same as the DNS record in Cloudflare. That's the number one cause of this not being able to talk to your server. If not let me know and I can jump on with you in TV and help you.

Search for IPTC metadata. But Emby is only reading "Keywords" from those metadata and stores it at "Tags".

I have a windows bat file that uses a homerun executable to get the homerun device to reboot. Not ideal for you if others may be using the homerun at the same time. Not sure if that same executable can also reset a particular tuner or not. But here is how you reset the device.

The CSS stuff are not exposed so you can only access them from within the container itself. I'm using the docker image from Linuxserver.io, so once inside the container, all the CSS stuff are accessible at /app/emby/dashboard-ui/modules/themes/ Mind you that anything changed from within the container will not stick if you delete the container in the future. The best approach would be to create your own docker image, base it on an existing Emby image, change whatever you want, and finally build your newly customed Emby image.

This behavior persists after a full library scan. Some content I am noticing says 4k under video, but has the audio options for 1080p showing, and plays the 1080p version when play is pressed. If I go and select 4k, then the audio field populates correctly and the 4k version plays, but if i select a chapter then the 1080p (default?) starts playing. Other content correctly populates the video and audio names. Curiously, Emby will not play the Marvel Studios Opening logo in 4k. The audio plays, but no video, and then at the same point the loading bar pops up and never moves. If I skip past this point the audio will play until the logo ends, and then the video starts. It does this for both Infinity War (which starts with the logo) and endgame (which does not start with the logo, but the logo stays black and cuts to loading at the same point). These are the only two marvel films I have in 4k, but they playback fine on my other devices, only the roku gives me trouble.

Old topic, but giving this a kick to see what the status is. The Plex Trakt scrobbler has a beta option that will create playlists from Trakt lists which works really well. It would be great if this could be added to the Emby trakt plugin. There are also a number of scripts that have the same functionality for Plex but not for Emby.

A manual sort order for collections is a good idea for the future. Thanks !
