Hi there, Currently testing Emby and have to say: Good Alternative to Plex. There are two things im missing: 1: Photo Timeline. A View of all photos not sorted by folders. A Scrollable Timeline would to navigate. 2: Show Photos by specific days: In Amazon photos i have a great function, that changed my behaviour for watching photos: Watch photos that were taken exactly 1 year ago or 2 or 3 or.... Both Requests offer the ability to not only browse photos by browsing folders. You get photo recommendations. Whats better than watching photos of your kids 3 years ago? From my understanding it could be done by making a Select Statement each day that dynamically updates the year folders. I think it would be Great!

Feature Request: Have User Groups and all settings applied at the Group Level That way you can just assign users to the appropriate Group and all settings will be inheritated.

Do you mean local as in intranet or locals directly on the PC that is displaying the content? Some of us, like me, have 4k HEVC rips that only play on a few of our clients. The rest of our clients require a transcoded stream (although it is washed out, @Luke, waiting for a fix). Not allowing transcoding on the server will break things.

But mkv not enough information as there could be any codec in a mkv container and depending on the codec and bitrate will determine playback.

Let's say you have an HEVC file or something and your client doesn't support it you'd need to transcode on the server to watch it on the client.

I was using a Shield 2017, as far as I know tone mapping support was added to all models.

What image providers are enabled on your library and in what order? Did you check what images your enabled image providers have available?
