I am switching over from a Win7 box running MBC to Chromecast dongles. With the Win7 box I had a HDMI to Cat6 setup that allowed me to stream to up to 4 displays/TVs simultaneously. It was great while it lasted, but involved stapling cables to the ceiling to run it from room to room - plus it has borked Can there be an option to multi-cast to several receivers at once? i.e. simultaneously play to Chromecast dongles in my office and living room and kitchen simultaneously so i can walk from room to room without stopping and restarting the movie or show all the time? I realize that bandwidth could POTENTIALLY be an issue, but i have a fill gigabit network and a multi-port NAS so that really is the least of my worries... Thank you!

Request that Emby server store Dolby Vision (including profile), Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, HDR10+ (smpte2094) and HLG for appropriate video in the db and use it for display in the media info and track selection sections of movie/episode details screen. Hi as i can see the exoplayer is nearly to get a major update like allowing Dolby Vision from .mkv containers and looks like MKV standard it's nearly to support it and as soon the MKV get support for DV (Dolby Vision) exoplayer will be upgraded as soon. But I also would like than Emby add some transparent icon or something that display than the content is well in Dolby Vision and Atmos an Transparent icon/tag/logo for exemple at the beginning at the movie during 10 Seconds (Usually the time of the intro scene) and at the movie UI Wil be nice. Nvidia Shield already support Dolby Vision and Atmos and many tv and sound bars support Atmos unfortunately there is no info on the movie,music UI to show us properly than the movie,music have Atmos and/or have Dolby Vision. Finally was able to get the Emby Server/Client running on a Generic Android with an Amlogic S922X SoC (CPU). It is fine for a NON-Power user, in that it is simple and has all the components combined into one package. You can also now try the current beta which should have an unlock option on the user menu (if appropriate).

@2Jay2 In your situation, the proper workaround would be to connect to a non-Premiere server and then purchase the unlock. Then you can connect back to the other server and it should work.

If it were free, why would there be an unlock step in the first place?

I feel this is true, I have had a few users who have been using my server for a while now just yesterday come to me with this problem. So it seems there was an issue before where the unlock was not required, which was then fixed, which caused a lot of my users to see the premier toast for the first time. This caused confusion and they all reached out to me triggering me to look into it which caused me to find that they are not being offered the unlock dialog in order to continue being able to play content. So now we need a way for these users to be able to give you money and purchase that unlock

Yes they are, as the license is over limit, however previously when this happened they would get the dialog which would show the advantages of having emby premier and offer them the subscription or one time unlock, instead it just shows them the toast in the image in my original post and then nothing happens. There also seems to be no option to purchase the unlock (Or premier) anywhere in the app.

Having your user purchase the app will keep it from using a Premiere license for playback. If you give them access to a Premiere feature such as download, live tv, camera upload, etc then they would still need the Premiere license. So basically the app purchase allows full playback only. Premiere features such as download, live tv would require the client to use the premiere device license but things that are server related like Cover Art or LDAP would not use a client license.

I dealt with this for a while. Same situation except I believe tokens were good for 7 days. It is a security measure some providers have chosen to use. My M3U was customized, I put a lot of time into it so Emby would do the mapping and logos automatically. The only solution I found was to download an M3U every 5 days from the provider and use notepad++ to find the new token, copy it then replace the old token with the new one in my custom file. I was going to automate even that but provider switched up the streams and there was no need. xTeve is helpful with many aspects of making Emby better, but there is a learning curve.

Emby is far better, in every way, than Plex. An improvement would be a drop down option from the Menu bar to Scan the Library (videos added to my source folder for the library don't automatically appear in Emby, so I have to scan to load them).

I'll do some info checking on my files and eq. because some dts, or hd, or truehd is playing and some not but this is thru ARC, I'll check if sounds that are not playing will it be played thru eArc. Can't make Shield set up yet as it is on the way. dang, so many different formats, eq supports some and don't support others... omg :)

Wild guess, did your libraries come back as their proper content type? I am guessing they are now Mixed Content. Dashboard-Library If that did happen, pretty sure I have a work around but would require a new database again.

In your first post you said that you were watching media you had recorded. Recording is DVR and that is why I thought of DVR. I guess I cannot help so I am done with this thread.

@hackthis02 Thanks for the 2.0.15 update that went live earlier today. The incorrect media links was something I had just accepted as "never gonna be fixed". To see it fixed after all this time...completely unexpected.

Got it. Here's another option which I've done, and that's to create separate M3U files for channels that cannot be mapped correctly using a single Emby Guide source. I.e., I have 3 channels that cannot be mapped to the main EPG source I use, so I created separate M3U files containing only those channels and mapped them to different guide providers.

Go to libraries -> Advanced and set "Prefer embedded titles" under "Embedded track title display". I think that should help.

While your at it, audio needs naming correctly. Always see TrueHD, when it fact it is Dolby Atmos.

I think it would be nice to have this option when right clicking the icon.
