  2. By now, you've seen the images of how pretty Emby Theater is: You can learn more about the app by reading the original announcement: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/blog/1/entry-290-introducing-the-new-emby-theater-for-windows-and-the-web/ But what about the skinning engine? How can we create our own skins? We're please to announce that it's very easy. All You Need is a Little HTML If you can do HTML and JavaScript, then you can build a skin for Emby Theater. It's that easy. Just Fork the Default Skin The default skin is open sourced on Github: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/emby-web-defaultskin Just fork it, give it a new name, make your changes, and that's all there is to it. You can host your skin directly on Github, and users can easily install it within the app's settings. So fork away and start skinning. We're excited to see what you come up with.

  3. A lot of exciting, community-driven development has taken place and we're pleased to announce new features that are available. Try it Now Windows: http://emby.media/emby-theater.html Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari: http://emby.media/emby-theater-web.html Xbox One: http://emby.media/emby-theater-xboxone.html Now Supports HDMI-CEC Control With Your TV Remote The latest version now supports the HDMI-CEC protocol. If your HTPC has the appropriate HDMI-CEC hardware, you can now control Emby Theater with your TV remote (Windows version only)! By supported hardware, we're referring to CEC adapters which you can get over at https://www.pulse-eight.com Important: This is an optional feature. You'll be prompted to install CEC drivers. You are free to decline this by cancelling, and you won't be bothered about it again. Play Your Games External players have been updated to support launching games. Now you're playing with power! Redesigned Back Menu We think you'll find the new look much more pleasing and easier to use. New Context Menus Access context menus for selected items, either by right-clicking, or by using the menu button on your remote control. New Slide Up Menu The new slide-up menu in desktop mode offers quick access to many of your favorite functions. Just hover the mouse over a poster. New Multi-Select Menu You're probably familiar with this from the standard web interface. When running under the mobile or desktop display modes, you can now access multi-select menus via left click-hold, or tap and hold. Multi-Select allows you to perform bulk operations on selected items such as marking watched, refreshing, and more. 3-Dot Context Menus for Lists When running under the mobile or desktop display modes, lists will now have the familiar 3-dot context menus, allowing a wide range of management options that are relevant to the selected item. Easily Re-order Playlists with Drag Handles When running under the mobile or desktop display modes, you'll now see drag handles next to playlist items, allowing for quick and easy re-ordering. New Sleep Protection Now if you leave video playback running unattended for hours on end, you'll eventually see an "Are you still watching?" dialog. This is perfect for binge watching to help prevent entire series from accidentally being marked watched in the event you fall asleep while watching. Faster Performance on Xbox One The app navigates and animates faster than ever on Xbox One. If you haven't yet tried it on Xbox One, be sure to check it out at http://tv.emby.media Fork the Default Skin Can you do HTML and JavaScript? Then why not fork the default skin? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/emby-web-defaultskin Let us know what changes and improvements you're able to come up with. You can even release your forked version to the Emby community!
