When loading the channel, the previous user should be signed out and the user selection view shown. This would have to be an option because others might want to stay logged in on a single user. Doing this would allow individual users to keep track of watched and favorite status better. As it is, someone invariably uses another user's account and this provides a degraded experience.

I believe there is an option on the roku app under settings to remember the last user. Did you try to disable this?

Hmmm. Not sure how I missed that. Hoping it works. Set it to off re-entered channel but user was still logged in until the third try. Will see how it goes.

I'm actually having the opposite problem. I have "remember user" set to "yes (default)", but everytime I open Roku and Emby, I must select the user. There is only one user, so I was hoping I could bypass this. It was working a few weeks ago, so perhaps a new release is set to disable this feature.

Please let me know if there is another setting somewhere that I am missing. Thank you.

P.S. I've been using Emby with Roku for a little over a month now and I'm loving it. My wife finds it much easier to navigate than my old HTPC system with Windows Media Browser. The setup was way easier too. Thanks!

this happened to me once before too, I had to remove the server info in the app and re-add it. might be worth a shot.
