That's what I was expecting, since everything else is under the "3 dots". It's the only button I can think of that's kind of down there living life alone and on its own (when active), but maybe it can live in two places and still dynamically? Another "idea" is to make it visible all the time, so it's more noticeable, but have it grayed out when there isn't an active split. Thanks for the replies btw.

resume and jump not working for newest chromecast generation
Cerothen replied to Bearclaw's topic in General/Windows
Has there every been any success on this? My family and I casting from the app to a Chromecast aren't able to resume or seek. It's been like this for a year or longer. It works as expected when playing to the web client, or to a native app (just not casting to Chromecast). When resuming it initially starts playing from the start then jumps to the moment requested, it then shows a still image and the audio plays. This is my experience for first, second, third and ultra gens of Chromecast including on Android tv. I'm using hardware transcoding, but it also doesn't work with it off. My storage is reasonably fast and and is either stripped array or SSD. There are no restrictions on my account that I can think of. If you can describe how to get the Chromecast logs I would be happy to get them. Thanks -
Where is Emby putting my collections posters, fanart, etc.

The log tells you Now moving to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\images\resized-images\f\fce6fd4e-f88f-74ad-ee00-932e886dc43c.webp But one should be possibly made for each client depending on say resolutions. - Today

I would wait for dev to reply. Doubt it will make a difference but does 4.9.0.18 make a difference. -
Looks resolved in beta 4.9.0.18 <lockedfields>Cast</lockedfields>

Do I need to delete my database and start over or is there something else I can do to clean up the database? This started because I upgraded my hard drives to larger faster drives so I don't have as many now. -
Something like this div.headerSection [title="Menu"] {display: none;}

This is database only information now. So in theory the api call should be all that is needed. 2024-05-10 15:20:02.107 Info Server: http/1.1 POST http://host:8096/emby/Library/VirtualFolders/Paths/Delete?refreshLibrary=true&path=L:\Emby Media\Mainstream Movies&name=Mainstream Movies&Id=5935&X-Emby-Client=Emby Web&X-Emby-Device-Name=Chrome Windows&X-Emby-Device-Id={deviceid}&X-Emby-Client-Version=4.9.0.17&X-Emby-Token=x_secret1_x&X-Emby-Language=en-us. goobee01 started following Reference name for menu icon
-
OK, no laughing as I'm sure that I'm not calling it by its correct name but does anyone know the reference name for the 3-lines (hamburger) menu button? I'm trying to hide it and what I'm doing is not working as I would like. .paper-icon-button-light.md-icon.headerSectionItem.headerButton.headerMenuButton {display: none;} This is too aggressive as it also hides the "Play All, Shuffle and Sort by File name" buttons that I want to keep. Thoughts? On a associated tangent, is there a data dictionary for all of the elements? It would help in the identification of the elements.

Two Servers one QNAP one Windows, continuous media scanning?
Ice replied to Ice's topic in General/Windows
I will have to forgo Live TV I suppose when the server is solely running off the NAS, I don't use it very often anyway. I can still record Live TV via it's own software then just copy it to the NAS for Emby viewing I suppose. -

Yeah, it's really strange. I've cleared my cache. I just thought maybe there is somewhere in an INI file or in the registry that might be holding on to them. -
EmbFinPlex started following Playback of in-progess Recording Issue
-
When I try to tune to a channel with a recording in-progess, I only have the option to watch the channel from the current live state as opposed to the beginning of the recording. When the playback begins, I can only rewind it to the point that I tuned to the channel. Only when the recording finishes does it show up under my TV Shows library and I can start the playback from the beginning. I thought in the past there was an option to start playback from the beginning of a recording when it was in-progess. Currently, I can't see any way to start the playback of an in-progess recording from the beginning until it finishes recording. Am I missing something? Currently running Emby 4.8.0.18 beta on Windows with the 2.0.98a FireTV app.

Two Servers one QNAP one Windows, continuous media scanning?
Gilgamesh_48 replied to Ice's topic in General/Windows
Which is also another reason to turn off "Real Time Monitoring" on one server. (The slave one is where RTM does more damage than good.) I think once an nfo gets written it is very unusual for it to get rewritten by Emby. But I have not reached the level of "Master" so many of the mysteries of the innerworkings of Emby are well outside my knowledge. I can see problems arising from having both servers wanting to use "Live TV" but I do not actually use "Live TV" so I have never tested that. -
Roku autoplay next episode has suddenly stopped working
rotational467 replied to Jdmoody1980's topic in Roku
Live TV is irrelevant and off-topic. That other media servers/clients do not have this issue on Roku while Emby does is relevant as far as demonstrating that this is not a Roku defect per se. Autoplay appears to be behaving again as of 4.1.19. Have an Ultra still on 12.5.5 with 4.1.19 where autoplay is working fine as I type this with a series I've had trouble with before (HEVC+MKV), and a 4K Stick on 13.0 that was working fine earlier with a different series (AVC+MKV). -
Hi. Exactly what option did you turn on?

There is never going to be one in real life. There is no point.

I have the metadata separated, but the NFO data is written to the media directory. I can't to seem to find an option to store the NFO data separate from the media -
Two Servers one QNAP one Windows, continuous media scanning?
Lessaj replied to Ice's topic in General/Windows
I believe the only options are in the database, or in NFO next to the media. But you just explained exactly why you're having this problem, they're both performing RTM and keeping the NFOs next to the media, so they're constantly seeing a change happen and fighting to be the last to update it. So if you're going to have both running looking at the same media, one of them needs to be the saver, and the other needs to be the reader. Ultimately you're going to decomm the windows server so you could let be the primary until you're ready to switch and then just turn RTM and NFO saving on after. You want this enabled: And this disabled: -

Makes sense, how do I enable NFO read only? -
Two Servers one QNAP one Windows, continuous media scanning?
Ice replied to Ice's topic in General/Windows
RTM is active on both. NFO files regarding the media are kept with the media, all the Metadata is kept separate. Can you store the media NFO in a separate location, if so where do I find this option? -

I don't understand why Emby doesn't host one itself? Rather then rely on a customer to do it? Not trying to put them down I love Emby, just trying to understand why?
