michaelh 0
Hi all, I noticed my TVS-673 had started working very hard (i.e. the fans running loud, etc.) and found that Emby was transcoding a file to send it to a LG TV on the local area network. The reason given in the dashboard was that the bitrate of the file had exceeded the limit. This was surprising as it was not a file that should have needed transcoding, being a 720p resolution x264 MP4 file with a bitrate of only ~1800kbps (video and audio) and the TV is connected on 100Mb cabling. This didn't used to be a problem before so I wondering how I diagnose further. Where can I see in the logs what is the supposed upper limit to the bitrate before transcoding will occur? Could something have happened on my network to change whatever calculation was being made, and can I override it somehow?
