ginjaninja 539
just played a trailer when i meant to play the film....not a big deal but in my mind a trailer is a media element of a movie, (like a tv theme tune is to a tv show) the current design has odd behaviours 1. The difference between trailer and movie is not as immediately apparent as it could be. vs 2. the trailer view has a trailer icon, which plays the trailer...same as the play button plays the trailer. (a bit odd) an alternative behaviour / design might be the movie view shows movie objects, a filter on the movie objects view could show objects with / without any of movie file trailer so the ui could show movies you have to play (i.e. 'current' All movies), whilst the detail page gas a play button (and a trailer button if trailer is present) movies you dont have to play but have a trailer (i.e. 'current' All trailers). with the detail page without a play button but with a trailer button (which plays the trailer) maybe things would just be more obvious (enough) if all trailer images have an overlay of the trailer icon on them* or the trailer detail page didnt have a play button and just had a trailer button (which played the trailer). *possibly related to use "suggestions behaviour"..ie easily tell the difference between a suggestion which is for a trailer (a movie you dont have) vs a suggestion for a movie you do have. roaku 797
Is your trailer being misidentified as the movie? Either way, I've never seen this trailer detail view on any of the clients I use.
Luke 37273
Hi, yes the trailer button shouldn't be there. That is not intended.
ebr 14960
As for your original request (an indicator on the image), CoverArt can do this for you.

ginjaninja 539
everything seems alot 'better' since removing the trailer plugins....no separate trailer objects in library and movies still have a trailer icon...best of all worlds..
