Folks, 

Let's say I would love to have a feature in my Android Emby application, but don't want to wait.

Can I add my own patch to the code and run it on my phone?

To simplify: is Emby for Android opensource?

And one extra lap: if I can modify, will my premium membership still be recognized?

Hi.  Our Android app is not open source.  The best thing to do is to see if a feature request for what you want already exists and support it if so or create one if not.
