Emby won't reload tv metadata when switched to "DVD Order"

I loaded a new show into Emby, and then switched the episode order to "DVD", but it won't switch the episode names or descriptions over from "Aired".  I've tried deleting the nfo files and refreshing the metadata, but it still keeps the same info.  Am I doing something wrong?

Attached are two logs, I hope are the right ones.

"Life and times of tim" is what I'm trying to correct right now.  I've attached photos of how it shows up in Emby, and then also what the aired vs dvd orders are on thetvdb.

Sorry but this is another broken TVDB v3 api issue.  Emby has not updated to v4 yet, but with it being user subscription based I don't see this change until we have to.

As you can see there is no DVD info in provided metadata.

Gotcha.  Is there anything more on that changeover in terms of Emby yet?  Will a subscription to tvdb make it seamless?

A New v4 plug will have to be built and allow users to enter their subscription pin (but Luke says there will be one).  In the End I see Emby making TMDB the default provider unless something new comes up.  As for seamless sure from the fact of majority of users will not have a TVDB pin and will no longer get any data from TVDB.

Yes, its an unfortunate situation, but checking out the same tv show on tmdb, it looks as though they don't even offer a "DVD" episode order option?  I'll probably begrudgingly pay the subscription to tvdb to avoid having to go and check every episode of every show on my emby.

They do but Emby currently does not support them (there is a feature request out there).  And someone would have to create that order on TMDB.

From TMDB Bible

We now support alternative orders! The Episode Groups section can be used to create different orders such as the production order, the DVD order, a new order, or country-specific orders.

Came across this again with The Office (US).  Can I assume that all DVD orders are broken until the update?

Also, it won't add episode 14 of season 4.  It stops at episode 13.  Even though I have episode 14 and is labeled the same as all other episodes:1971628235_ScreenShot2021-05-17at11_06_53AM.png.e2e76f2e5072346ed41b3d9f1b7e915f.png

Hi, I see this in your log:
2021-05-17 02:28:32.406 Info App: ProcessRun 'extract-multi-image' Execute: /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/bin/ffmpeg -f matroska -skip_list 8,300,600,900,1200,1500,1800,2100,2400 -i file:"/volume1/House of Wisdom/TV/O/The Office (US)/Season 4/The Office (US) S04E14.mkv" -an -sn -vsync 0 -f image2 "/volume1/Emby/cache/temp/c0175bbe75bd4e65badd0d1da0fdabbd/img_%05d.jpg"

So it looks like Emby read the file.

That is interesting because it definitely is not in season 4:

Any idea where it would be?

No but I usually cheat and look with a database editor.:)

If you want to shut down Emby and zip up your library.db file and PM it to me I can see if it got scanned in.

Is this Synology your running on?

OH, just had a thought.  What is in the NFO file for this episode?

Yes episode 10

However it looks like it's matching to the wrong series

tt1031449 vs tt0386676

So it may be pulling the UK vs US version of the Office.

Try doing an Identify to to make sure you have the US version.

tt1031449 is episode 10 of season 4.  I don't know why it's doing that.  However, the imdb order is also different than tvdb.  it's closer to the dvd order that tvdb has.  Changing the nfo file to episode 14 did allow it to at least pop-up, but all the metadata is still incorrect.  I'm guessing that will just be the case until it's updated.
