moshmont 8
I'm curious what is considered a typical bitrate when watching live tv from a typical iptv provider? Also, if my Max bitrate setting is 80 Mb/s but I am getting a bitrate of only somewhere between 3 and 5, should I change any settings from the normal? Luke 37132
Hi, your max quality setting in Emby will not raise the bitrate higher than what the source provides, so just keep that in mind.
moshmont 8
Hi Luke... Right, I understand that. I mainly am curious if 3-5 mbs is lower than the norm for live tv? I have tried lowering the quality to 3mb to see if that cuts down on the occasional problem of ffmpeg getting the seek to start failure. It doesn't seem to lower the quality of the picture, but If I lower the quality wouldn't that be because the client can't keep up?
Luke 37132
That would be the most common reason why you might lower the quality, yes.
Prism16 1
3 - 5 mb would be a typical 720p iptv feed... 1080 climbs to around 8 / 9mbs if u have a good source
