Carneth 12
I'm wondering if there's a way to get the internal player to present visualisations or artist/album artwork, or run through a slideshow of photos whilst playing music ..
ebr 14930
You can kinda do the opposite. If you put a windows playlist file into one of your photo folders and then play the slide show of that folder it will play the music playlist at the same time. Carneth 12
Hey there, thanks ... are there any plans to add things like a background, animated or static, or visualisation, or the option to play a photo slide show through the MBC player whilst playing music? Or even, is there a way to keep the controls, progress, and album cover (as it is in the bottom left corner) permanently visible whilst playing - it's kinda odd that the screen is entirely blank/black whilst playing music after a few seconds... Something about it just doesn't 'feel' right
ebr 14930
Blank? We use the standard music interface in WMC. Should look something like this (but with more album art as I only have the samples on this machine):
Carneth 12
Hmm, well something is a little odd then ... So.. a bit more detail (in case you want to investigate).. OS: Windows 8 Pro, running MBC within WMC ... File format: ALAC. When I play music - using the "Shift+8, Play All From Here" option it plays it just within the internal MBC player and has the interface you demonstrate in this thread: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/7680-new-internal-player-interface-usage-guide/ I.e in the bottom left, instead of a film cover it shows the album cover... and the background is black.. After a few seconds the controls disappear leaving just the black background. (I would post screenshots.. but I'm at work!) ebr 14930
What is ALAC? That is the problem. We're not recognizing that as music so it is playing in the video player.
Carneth 12
(ALAC) - Apple Lossless Audio Codec ... An open (surprisingly - seeing as it's Apple) lossless music format .. What is odd though .. If I play an individual track it will play back in WMC, as you show above... it's the play-all from here option that uses the video player... The play all from here option is of most use to me - I dont want to keep having to select the next track to play!
ebr 14930
What happens if you play all or shuffle play from the folder or album level (not the list of tracks)?
Carneth 12
I'll let you know once I'm home! Presumably, I can just hit the play button on my remote whilst looking at an album...
Carneth 12
OK, so if i am viewing at an album level and I press shit+8 and select play all whilst an album is selected, it launches this within the WMC player All that said ,... I prefer to stick within MBC as much as possible, the internal video player actually plays my music just fine... only, it'd be awesome if there was some kind of image or visualisation!
