Luke 37335
Did you restrict transcoding access for the user?

So @LukeI don't make use of transcode so I'm not able to set the limit lol? Feels like these lines in server log are the reason why I can't playback that file. Other (smaller) files work fine.. Luke 37335
If you disable the transcode then that can be ignored.
horstepipe 357
okay then there has to be another reason why playback does not work for certain videos. From what I see Emby Theater's log don't provide info about that at all, so taking a look at the server log is the way to go here?
Happy2Play 8399
Specific example are needs. Lots of media conditions can be none playable unless transcoded.
horstepipe 357
Yeah but that was not my question. I would have assumed that I can see the reason for playback failing in Emby Theater logs, but unfortunately I don’t.
Happy2Play 8399
Hard to say without logs, but per the setting. Â Quote Restricting access to transcoding will disable quality selection and may cause playback failures in Emby apps due to unsupported media formats or insufficient network bandwidth.
