topraider 0 Posted October 17, 2020 Share Posted October 17, 2020 I go into Emby Theater and I can playback Blu-Ray Movies perfectly with no problem. When I try to playback my DVD Music Video files, I get a spinning wheel thinking and will not play, All my file directories are set the same Blu-Ray and Music Video files. Please any suggestions. sooty234 266 Posted October 18, 2020 Share Posted October 18, 2020 Assuming you are using the desktop app from the emby site, and you're using folder rips, you're out of luck. DVD structure is all but dead, and the player that Theater uses is mpv. They are no longer supporting that structure. You're best bet is to rip them to mkv. This can be done without recompressing and losing quality. Blu-ray works because the video is one big file, and the player just picks the biggest file in the folder to play. DVDs are not that way.
