speechles 1917
Pre-Order here: https://www.roku.com/products/roku-ultra New additions: Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and BlueTooth with support for AirPlay2. Supposedly the AirPlay2 support is also coming to RokuTV. Not sure if AirPlay2 support will come to other Roku STB or stick models. The price after this releases (October 15th) will likely drop to get new adopters onto the Roku platform. The Emby Roku app will immediately identify the new Roku ultra can support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. You will not need to do anything extra. Emby has had support for both Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos for quite some time when using an Roku TV and/or an Roku soundbar. Now you can do this on an Roku ultra with ANY television and/or AVR. Anybody going to pre-prder? Also.. the Roku app on your mobile device now supports playback. No longer do you need a Roku to stream from the Roku channel. Just install on your mobile device the Roku channel. Make a Roku account. Watch Roku content on your mobile device. Can also use your mobile device to cast HBOMAX to your Roku while it is in "litigation hell negotiations" as far as how much royalties Roku will receive to create a real HBOMAX Roku channel. Roku is loosening the belt and branching out beyond hardware at the same time as it creates new hardware. Roku is a serious competitor now. Roku has some deals to produce their own original content in 2021.This is why they need to allow mobile devices to play along. It is all part of the plan.
