Paxalou 4
Hi, I use Emby For Kodi in Kodi, to watch movies that are on my server. Is it possible to delete a movie that is on the server using Emby for Kodi ? I think Emby for Kodi need the permission to do that, so it needs ID and psswd ? Could you help me ? jachin99 82
my guess is that Kodi would delete the movie in it's database and not the file but I'm not sure.

Paxalou 4
Ok, thanks. All my folders on my server are owned by me, but this is not the same nick as the Emby user I use. Maybe is it possible to put this emby user in a group that has rw permissions, no ? Is the name of this Emby user the same as the one I use to connect ti emby as administrator ? No, totally different. This is about the files on your file system. When you install emby it creates a system user on your machine called emby. This is the user that needs permission on your system to delete files, otherwise you'll press delete in Emby, but then the files won't actually be deleted.
