augunrik 0
Hi! I recently had very bad experiences with the metadata resolution of emby. Even after providing the music brainz id emby wasn't able to identify discs. For example: https://musicbrainz.org/release/8372a0a8-76c9-4298-8dd0-edcec4736a05 Emby contacts: https://musicbrainz.emby.tv/ws/2/release/?query=reid:8372a0a8-76c9-4298-8dd0-edcec4736a05 Which states it was created last december (4 months ago!!). Additionally it seems that emby is unable to use track information from musicbrainz, which makes it horrible to sort wav files (which usually come without metadata...) Is there a way to refresh the cache on emby more regurarly or switch directly to musicbrainz API (maybe from premiere members?) Thanks!
Luke 37099
Hi there, how did you provide the music brainz I'd?
augunrik 0
I directly entered it into the corresponding field "Music Brainz Album Id". Clicking on the button on the right of that field takes you directly to the correct music brainz page. The musicbrainz.emby.tv/ws/2/release/?query=reid:8372a0a8-76c9-4298-8dd0-edcec4736a05 link was pulled from the logs while asking emby to refresh all meta data on that album. But it can refresh as much as it wants, because the url doesn't provide the correct metadata. HTH
Solution Luke 37099 Posted May 28, 2020 Solution Share Posted May 28, 2020 @@augunrik, there was an issue with our daily data updates from Musicbrianz. We've resolved this now and everything should be up to date. Thanks.
