JohnnyM 40
I have a movie that I have watched in MB Classic using Chocolate that played just fine. Later, my wife wanted to see it so she hit play on the screen and the movie started about 18 minutes in. There was no resume on the screen at the time, just play. The new play interface shows the movie starting at 1 minute 29 seconds in but it is actually at the 18 minute 20 second mark. I set MB Classic to use VLC as the external player for DVD rips and the movie played fine. Resetting it back to use WMC as the player reverted back to the problem. I tried the web client on a smart TV and the movie played fine but I attribute this to transcoding. I tried and another WMC computer with basically the same setup as my main home theatre and it starts at the same point 18 plus minutes into the movie. Finally I tried MB Theatre and it starts about 18 minutes into the movie. This situation has happen before but it rarely happens. I even took the movie out of the library, ran a scan, proved that it was deleted and readded it but the playback issue remained. Attached is a server log. I have annotated where the Playback begins. I have also included screen shots of the beginning and end of the movie. Any suggestions would be appreciated Johnny server-63539710474.txt
ebr 14935
WMC remembers resume points for DVD rips itself. I can't remember if you can turn this off.
JohnnyM 40
But that doesn't explain the problem with MB Theatre doing the same thing does it? Hope you had a great vacation JohnnyM

JohnnyM 40
Found a Solution I used DVD Shrink to reencode the problem rip. Replaced the problem rip with the reencoded one and the movie started at the beginning in MB Classic. Logic tells me you were on the right trail. It would appear that WMC puts something in the movie files with a resume point of some sort and that point got compromised somehow. A lot of assumptions there. But the reencode of problem rip worked JohnnyM
