feardamhan 6
It is possible to enable metadata scraping for moves and tv shows, but not for music? I take care of all my music tagging using a seperate utility and would like to leverage that work than potentially have MB3 scraping effect it. Enabling metadata scraping seems to be a binary function at the moment. All or nothing?
Koleckai Silvestri 1150
In the configuration tool got to Metadata -> Advanced. Select the different music types and uncheck the options to write metadata along with the options to use the providers listed. It will no longer write metadata. However the results may be less than desired as the system doesn't read all the metadata out of the MP3 in my experience.
feardamhan 6
Thanks Wayne. Did that, worked a treat. I then tried to partially enable it to grab artist images and such, but it didnt download anything. Strange!
Koleckai Silvestri 1150
Run the Scan Media Library task and see if it pulls the images for artists.

I don't know (can't remember) if this is something that changed in the latest server upgrade but I would like to have this functionality as well as I have all of my (albeit small) music tagged correctly using an external tool. Don't know if this is relevant but I am running Server 3.0.5309 (Linux beta).
