spon 24
Hi everyone. I'm having an odd problem where Emby Theater cannot play video files with AAC LC audio. ET attempts to play the file (spinning circle) for a minute or so and then ET just freezes up and I need to kill it via the task manager. The same files play fine using Emby in any browser - the issue seems to be with ET only. Thanks

Luke 37066
How have you configured audio settings in the app? Have you also configured windows sound settings?
Guest asrequested
If playback isn't starting, it won't be because the player is having trouble with an audio codec, unless you are explicitly telling mpv to do something that the equipment can't do. Example: if you forced bitstreaming for AAC but the receiver doesn't support that. If something like that isn't the case, then it would fall to a file access issue. spon 24
Thanks @@Luke and @ for your replies. I have set up the audio settings in the app to the best of my ability. I've been using ET exclusively for years now and this is the only time I've had an issue like this. The only settings that I see in the Audio menu is Enable Passthrough (all checked - AC3, EAC3, DTS, DTS-HD, True HD), Dynamic range compression is set to None, Enable exclusive audio mode is checked and Upmix audio channels for Music is checked. I don't see any other options. Doofus - how would I check to see if AAC is forced to bitstreaming? Luke - windows sound settings are set up and appear to work ok. The same files do play through emby connect on any browser, so I don't think it's a windows sound setting issue, but I'll admit I'm out of my depth here. Guest asrequested
Is it all AAC or multichannel only? Are the files all in the same directory?
