somy 24
Hi, I can't seem to get web browser or XBMB3C to work with ISO files, I guess it has something to do with mounting machnism. Will it be possible to add this feature in the future release? Thanks!
philman84 3
Somy, No problems from my setup being able to play native DVD files from Web Client or from MB Ipad version. I'd check your mounting setup in MB configurator and make sure it's pointing to the correct location. Only problem I've got using the ipad app is that you have no way of being able to interact with the DVD Menu to get things going. Cheers
Abobader 2960
Good day, I can play ISO within the web client for dvd and bluray titles without any problem, sure some tiles may give problem, as philman84 said, also consider this support for ISO 1:1 rip as experimenter matter, it will improve by time. My best Hi, Thank you for confirming it works. Do you see DVD/BD menu for web client? I thought for web client it always transcode? Anyways, I tried again with some ISOs, and when I play in web browser it shows the player with black screen forever......
somy 24
Hi, thanks mates! It makes sense that for streaming client MBS transcode the main title and stream the video directly to the client. However I seem to have some problem to make it work. When I click play button, it shows a black video player and hangs, no video is actually played. Koleckai Silvestri 1150
The server will transcode media to a format the client understands. It does not transcode menus though as far as I am aware. Menus most likely require direct access to the files. The web client, Roku, phones and tablets don't know what ISO files are and don't support them. I've never used ISO files so not sure what the limitations are specifically. somy 24
OK, I will post the logs here tonight. BTW, the ISO works fine in XBMB3C now.
somy 24
try clicking edit -> then refresh, then post a log of that. playback is failing because we don't have any media info, which will sometimes happen with iso's as this is an experimental feature anyway. I tried refresh and now it shows a lot more information about the video file, and at least I can play some of the Bluray ISOs, thanks for the help! It is a bit strange that I need to manually refresh. Before today's test, I actuallt remove the folder from the library and add it back to make MBS rescan the content, however it still doesn't refresh everything. pr3dict 33
Sorry to bring back old thread but exact thing is happening to me. Server won't play ISO's on web or any of the DLNA devices.
Luke 37272
In many cases that's to be expected, sorry. We consider streaming and transcoding of ISO's an experimental feature. It may work with some titles, and others not at all. The full Htpc clients can of course play them perfectly.
