kyote4827 3
Has anyone tried using offline transcoding on their synology? I'm not sure how it would work with emby since the transcoded file would be in the same folder as the original. Plus I would want it to transcoded everything in the folder and not have to manually do it for thousands of items...
Luke 37317
Hi there, yes it works just fine on Synology. Plus I would want it to transcoded everything in the folder and not have to manually do it for thousands of items... You can create conversion jobs on parent folders if this is what you wish. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
patje57 9
Is there a way to trigger creation of .mp4 files iso .mkv. mkv doesn't direct play on Mac, aTV or iOS and i would like to skip the remuxing step when played on those.

kyote4827 3
Would I have to create that scripts in their video application, or somehow Within emby?
Luke 37317
No, you can create conversion jobs right in the user interface: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/blog/1/entry-423-emby-server-34-released/
kyote4827 3
I will stop talking now... Thanks! That was much easier than imagined. And I assume this is desired as long as you have the extra space. Less stress at runtime.
