MBSki 1016
I've added tags to some of my movies in a movie library, and when i filter on that tag, I see the collection that the movie is in, but not the actual movie that's tagged. I think it should show just the movie, not the full collection since I didn't tag the collection. I only tagged the movie. In the screen shot, there's a movie in the Tinkerbell collection that's tagged so the entire collection shows up in the filter.
Solution ebr 14913 Posted January 19, 2020 Solution Share Posted January 19, 2020 Hi. In that ... dialog, do you have the option to "Group items into collections" checked?
Luke 37064
Right, you're only seeing it because you asked for it.
MBSki 1016
I do have group items in collections on, but that filter should pull it out just like when selecting a filter for playstate or year. Why would it stay in a collection when filtering on tag? That doesn't make any sense. Staying in the collection for Genre makes sense, but not for tag. Luke 37064
It just depends on what filters are supported at this stage when grouping.
MBSki 1016
Not sure I understand what you mean, but it's just not clear why tags would keep the grouping and other filters wouldn't. Its using different criteria for tags and it doesn't make much sense to me at least. For tags it's, "if any items in group have a matching tag show the entire group". Whereas for year, it's "if any items have a matching year, don't show the group". Just doesn't make sense to me.
Luke 37064
If a given filter is not supported when grouping, then activation of it will cause results to be ungrouped.
