Leinad86 4
Hi there, I have a server running with some remote users. These use a wide variety of clients. From Fire Tv , to Samsung / Lg app , Ios / Android Mobile to Xbox, everything is there. I set up the days with my father on the Fire TV Box emby . So far everything went well. Now he said that he always has a jerk. So I took a closer look at it. I installed the Developer Tool on the Fire Tv Box to see the data rate during the stream. I released a limit of 12 MBps for his account . However, it only receives about 2-5 MBps . The result is of course buffering. Then targeted the usual suspects. So router restarted, box restarted. I even changed the switch, changed the cable, checked the settings. Internet speed test done (which were all positive) I also tried my admin account etc. Then I exchanged the Fire TV Box for a Fire TV 4K stick. Everything was newly furnished and lo and behold everything went as it should. The developer tool displayed the corresponding values during the stream and everything went as it should. Just a day later, my dad called again and said it was not going to work again. I then tested it again with the tool and found that only 2-5 Mbps arrive again and it stutters again. What I have found out here is that as soon as I do - The app Uninstall and re-install it again as it should with the appropriate data throughput. - With the Fire TV Box / Stick in the emby app settings , the app data / cache delete the app then goes again as it should. As soon as I restart the Fire TV devices, however, both no longer work, or only with a maximum of 2 -5 Mbps and it stutters again. The only solution is always blank for me so far and new app draufen .With the laptop as well as with the cell phone I have no problem with my father to play the film smoothly. If I then connect the devices to my home, they will work without any problems, even after they have been restarted. Has anyone ne idea why this might be? I'm currently a bit baffled. I checked the technology on both sides. All other remote users have no problems. Internet connection server side. Glass fiber 400/160 Internet connection client side. Glass fiber 100/40 Emby 4.3.1.0 runs in a Docker on Unraid . Emby Client Version 1.7.53a Here is a one drive link to the logshttps://1drv.ms/u/s!AqER4PCf_L37gYF8qJMtBX5g27y-Sg I'm grateful for any advice @ @@vdatanet Edited January 2, 2020 by Luke
vdatanet 1549
In Fire TV app, try to set a higher bitrate instead of Auto, Auto is very conservative for remote connections.
Leinad86 4
I normally never set the data rate to Auto. I normally set it to 15 Mbps. In this case, however, I tried many options. All with the same result. The only option after the restart is with 2 Mbps. But the quality is bad. And as I said, when I reinstall the emby app, everything works great until I restart the device. Leinad86 4
So läuft es wenn emby frisch installiert wurde und so nach einem neustart. Gleiche Einstellungen nichts verändert.
vdatanet 1549
After reboot, Do other applications have the same problem or just Emby?
vdatanet 1549
There are a lot of logs in your rar file. What is the problematic device? I assume it's: App: AndroidTv 1.7.54g Haiko Leismann The transcode reason is: TranscodeReasons=ContainerBitrateExceedsLimit Does your Fire TV have enough bandwidth? neik 837
Leinad86 4
Have now continued to look for errors and remembered that the current 3 Fritz Box networks are connected to each other via VPN. Have now deactivated on the Fritzbox from my Dad Vpn. Now it works without problems. The funny thing is when I turn on the VPN in the Fritzbox again it is still working. I have now entered the ip that the server has in the emby network setting. If I understand it correctly, he now sees every other network as remote. The VPN network too? Aslo summarized -Fire Tv works without problems after installation. -After a restart, the Fire TV has problems keeping the bit rate. Amazon prime works without any problems. -Vpn on the Fritzbox turned off and everything is working. -Vpn on again everything was still running. -Emby network setting server ip entered to see all others as remote. I leave VPN on now and keep watching. Because of the logs. I tried it with Admin and Peter Damm Between 1pm and 6pm There are no bandwidth problems. So theoretically not. Ja mehrere Speedtest Probiert alle unauffällig Die Fire TV BOX wahr mit Kabel angeschlossen. Und auch die gleichen Probleme gehabt. ebr 14935
So as long as the VPN/Fritzbox is disabled, everything is fine?
Leinad86 4
So I tested again today and took the pictures. Then I thought that I would deactivate the VPN connection in the Fritz Box. Then I restarted the Fire TV stick. After the restart I tested again. All settings have remained unchanged. To my surprise, emby ran on the Fire TV stick as desired. To make sure that it was due to the VPN connection, I turned it on again. Fire TV restarted. But this time he continued to function. I restarted everything. So Fritz box Fire TV Stick. I have done this several times. But since then it has been running without problems. So today I only briefly deactivated and reactivated the VPN connection in the Fritz box. I didn't do any more and since then everything is going as it should. I'm going to see if it stays that way. Unfortunately, I cannot say exactly where the error was or is

Leinad86 4
So far everything is going well. My dad is currently looking without problems. Can't explain that to me. Only briefly disconnected the Vpn connections and reconnected everything was good. And the mistake can no longer be caused. If something should change, I will contact you. Thanks for the quick responses.
