Hi,

Can someone help me. I've an Emby server and client on a Nvidia Shield. It works correctly and also the app on my andorid phone. Accessing the server via the https://emby.media link doesnt seem to work. I can log in but I get an error message when trying to connect to my server and my mates server and also errors when trying to add a new server. Navigating via localhost works fine and selecting my server and my mates is fine but not via the link. Am I missing something? Ive attached 2 screenshots, one showing after I log in and when I select the server.

Thanks in advance

Hi, Yes the user is with Emby Connect. When I manage my server and go to users the user is linked to Emby Connect and there is a cloud symbol on the image.

Yes I checked both, I checked the WAN on my phone with Wifi turned off to ensure I was on a different network and it allows  me to login and browse

Ok, I can connect to the server via the LAN and WAN IP address (The WAN IP using a different network than my home Wifi). It will not work using "localhost:8096". I added the rules into Windows firewall and it still doesnt work. The link Canyouseeme says it can't see me on port 80 but it can on port 8096

Hi.  Why are you trying port 80?  It sounds like you configured your port mapping to use 8096 as the external port so that's what you want to use.

Also, be sure that you haven't configured the external connection on your server to use port 80 instead of 8096.
