thomasdaley 0
Im going through the forum and there are multiple different out of date instructions about how to get emby to work on Samsung TV F series.... putting in to develop mode requires me getting rid of the current samsung account.... will this lose the other apps? The information doesnt seem user friendly, setting up servers or installing every time you need to use it.... Is there a concise up to date instruction page or is the TV just too old to bother? Luke 37118
Hi, the problem is this app is not in the store and Samsung no longer accepts submissions for these older models, so these side loading techniques are the best we can do. But yes I agree the instructions could be improved. @@FrostByte
thomasdaley 0
If I logout of a user to install am I able to relogin after installation? If so I'll give the developer option a go.
FrostByte 5052
I assume you're wanting to install the community app which is no longer in development because that's the only instructions here which states you need to logon with the user 'develop' to install. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/9869-samsung-orsay-smarttv-2011-2014-community-app-install-instructions/&do=findComment&comment=277345 You only need to be in develop mode to install the app which is the only way you can fully install an app that's not in the Orsay store other than sideloading from usb which doesn't actually install because it just loads into memory with Orsay and you always have to have the usb in your tv to run it. Once installed you can then logon with your other Samsung account or no account at all, the app doesn't require it once installed. It does not wipe out your other apps. The only instructions here which would do that is if you followed the other post to load the official app and wanted to change your region. All you need to do is follow the steps in post #3 from the link above and you should only have to do it once.
