ebr 14913
Hi. Exactly what is an "annoyus delay"? Can you explain in more detail so I know what I'm looking for? Also, can you please provide exactly how the item is playing (through what equipment etc.)? Thanks.

ebr 14913
I mean what is all the equipment involved? What is the stick plugged into? A TV? A Receiver? Is a receiver involved anywhere? How is the item playing back (look at stats for nerds)?

How is the item playing back (look at stats for nerds)? The firestick is plugged directly to tv hdmi.. If I remember right the server said direct playing.. If you test the file I sended you, you'll see the audio /video issue
ebr 14913
And there is no outboard audio equipment other than the TV speakers? If you set the app audio to "Downmix to stereo" does the problem go away?
Bazzu85 21
And there is no outboard audio equipment other than the TV speakers? If you set the app audio to "Downmix to stereo" does the problem go away? A soundbar connected via optic cable.. But on emby theater or other episode or the same at 48 khz the problem doesn't appear.. For the second question, I have to try..
ebr 14913
44.1 for AC3 is kind of "out of spec". The standard is 48 or 96 and I imagine that is what the problem is. An unexpected sample rate could be causing timing issues. If it is run through ffmpeg, though, it might correct those (which is what would happen with the option I suggested or playing it with something like MPV or VLC which is based on ffmpeg). Where did these audio tracks come from?

Where did these audio tracks come from? infact with pc players (ex VLC) the problem doesn't appear.. I struggled to figure out the problem was the 44khz because every player I tried (except emby in firestick) doesn't had the problem.. the audio tracks...I don't know...I finded the season at 44khz and converted at 48 khz by my self after the issues esposed here.. the primary question is: why with emby players, only the firestick as problems? thx
ebr 14913
At this point, my guess is because it is such an oddball situation and something that really is not supposed to be the case. All published to DVD etc. content in DD is at either 48 or 96. Supporting bitstreaming a different sample rate could actually require quite a bit more work on the part of the player. The player we use in the Fire app is built by Google and they sometimes aren't motivated to make sure every single oddball situation that isn't supposed to happen works correctly. To paraphrase one of the main Google devs: "we really aren't interested in playing every broken thing you throw at us". With proper inputs, though, their player is definitely the best one on the platform and I'm really just making a semi-educated guess on what is going on here - I could be wrong. On top of that, the Fire itself is an odd bird because it is a modified (by Amazon) fork of the Android OS for their hardware. Do you have an actual Android TV device you could also test with?

I only have an android device.. by the way, it's not a big problem (and quite easy and fast) recode the audio track at 48khz (I didn't know 44khz was sort of strange). I did it with megui in 1 less then 1 hour Edited December 3, 2019 by Bazzu85
