I am having the same issue but only when a song gets to the last few seconds left of the song it stops.

i have to go to next song and then it will be fine for 3 to 5 songs and then do it again.

I have the latest Emby Premier and my Roku is up to date as well (Roku premier+).

I have noticed this only in the last few weeks.

As well i have also noticed since upgrading to Premier that when i am in music playlist there is no shuffle button

but a mix button that when hit crashes my Emby and i have to close out and restart Emby to get it back.

But still keep up the great work as i am still glad i moved from Plex to Emby

Hi.  This thread is for the Apple TV app.  Are you using that app or the Roku app?

Thanks.

Okay. Lets focus on them as direct issues:

1. Stopping (..or skipping) of songs

    - How exactly are you playing them? Is it stopping while inside the audio player or some other screen?

2. In music playlists there is no shuffle button but a mix button that crashes the emby app

    - Where is the playlist located? Is this a playlist library?

Can you show a few pictures of the screens during both issues 1 & 2? It doesn't matter quality just that it represents the entire screen. Then we can tell where you are in relation and try to reproduce ourselves. No buttons should crash the app obviously. We have not experienced this, nor had other users mention this, so we need the steps to reproduce.

There is future work for the audio player coming. A complete redesign of the audio player. What you presently see there will become better.

Issue #1 should not happen if you are using the latest Beta of the Roku app. That version has audio player fallback. The only time that will skip songs is if transcoding also fails and ffmpeg is an issue or the file is corrupt it is trying to play and when falling back to transcoding ffmpeg fails and it winds up skipping the song. The fallback will not try to work through multiple errors like the video player. This is by design. The audio player gets one try to transcode and that is all then it skips.  It should NOT BE stopping but it might be. There might be conditions that can cause it to stop. We need to investigate that fully.

For #2 also depending on origin this can happen. Is this a playlist created outside of Emby or inside of Emby that crashes when using MIX? It should not matter but knowing that as well as seeing the pictures will help us reproduce and fix this. Thanks. ^_^

Everything worked fine with 175 (Friday) then it upgraded to 193 (Sunday) now I have the same issue as the OP.....Songs just stop with a few seconds left.

I almost always just add a whole album (hit the play-all button). Seemed to occur with every album I tried.

PS: I also now have Disney ads all over my Roku but that is different issue.

We have fixes in the works for the audio player. It should address this very issue you describe.

Sidenote: Disney really wants you to watch avengers. Also when you launch an app that little (Disney) thing in the corner that appears is annoying.. to say the least.. lol.
